The casino is very clean and tables are spaced so patrons are comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our blackjack dealer was giving us suggestions for restaurants and places to see in the area while we were playing since she knew we were on vacation. Enjoyed our time here. My only two issues with this place is that when we arrived parking was $60 per car or $70 valet per car. We had a large group so there were two cars. We opted to drop people off and then drive a short ways and parked for $30 a car. I expect to see self parking at casino's to be free or very inexpensive. The other issue was that while you are gambling drinks are not free. I have seen this at other casino's but typically when you order your first drink they make sure you know they will be collecting a payment after.

    Place 10/10, the service 5/10.

Sadly most of the staff were rude, and if not rude then cold and unwelcoming. I don't think one person smiled.

Aside from that, the hotel and casino is beautiful and definitely 5 star. Definitely something to see and experience atleast once in your life.

Definitely be prepared to walk, because the hotel and casino is extremely large and it is quite the walk to/from your room, or anywhere really.

First the good & great bits of this resort.

The rooms are lovely. Yes, perhaps not the most modern but extremely comfortable and well appointed, with the sofa sitting area really appreciated.

The food and restaurants have never disappointed. The only unfortunate aspect of them is that they aren’t open very often.

The casino has a mix of modern slots and some which are quite a lot older. My feedback would be to upgrade to newer machines from the relics.

Comps aren’t great. You’ve got to run the money through in large volumes to get much back. Drinks are covered by stations for self serve soft drinks and also ladies bringing around drinks carts, they are all fantastic and deserve a lot of credit from the management. Alcoholic drinks from the central bar are absurdly expensive.

The bad - the sheer volume of Asian slot hustlers in this casino looking to intimidate regular gamblers to leave the slot when the machine is ‘due to hit’.

The ones who seem the worst are an Asian family of three who are constantly causing difficulties in this way. The woman is short with a purple puffer jacket, I presume her partner with a dark grey/black jacket and presume their son with dark receding hair.

I don’t understand why the casino allows them to do this as they make regular gamblers feel very uncomfortable.

Directly across street from Rainbow Bridge & next door to Hard Rock Cafe.
Much smaller than the main Fallsview Casino, but still chucked filled with slots, only 1 row of table games.

The casino is okay but the choice of food and drink are pretty bad. The outside grounds are unbelievably dirty with cigarette butts everywhere. I would expect more care to be taken. It nice that there is no smoking inside but clean up your property. I probably would not go back

When we were looking for the casino we almost drove by. The sign along the road was not lit up and the lights going into the casino were out on one side. I decided to mention this to the staff and by the time we left it was repaired. Found parking lot to be very dark.

We had a complimentary rm which was appreciated.
The gentleman who gave us early check in wasn't sure if the rm was pet free as I was allergic. He offered to change it if we observed pet odor.
We had a King rm, but don't expect to get the one on "You Tube" review which he had upgraded to a suite. We were on first floor so it was noisy as the access to Casino was down the hall. People were walking by rm outside. We faced a building so no view.
    Unfortunately, we found the following.
Very uncomfortable bed that squeaked when u moved.
Very poor lighting in rm at night. Window screen in need of repair, the tub was extremely high so if u r a senior with limitations, u definitely need to mention same.
No tea or coffee in rm. No dresser, just cube style cabinet. Access to Casino was outside. Poor lighting at access to Casino at night.
Restaurant a bit pricey. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant.
Overall we appreciated the complimentary rm and slots weren't busy with a fair variety of games.
    We enjoyed Port Perry.

I want to give the club (The Joint) a 5 star review because of their taste in music. The Trews blew the roof off.

However the place was packed- and only two bartenders working. It took 45 mins to get a drink. (The gentleman beside me had been waiting an hour). It was a really great concert, but I was thirsty the whole time.

Woodbine Mohawk Park hosts Standardbred Racing 5 nights a week starting at 7.10pm on Monday , Tuesday , Thursday , Friday and Saturday. You can also wager on numerous other tracks around the world. There is plenty of free well lit parking that is monitored and patrolled by security. The facilities at the track include large clean washrooms and a number of eateries from sit down dining to fast food. The prices are reasonable. There is a large enclosed stand that is climate controlled and is assessable by walking up the stairs or taking an escalator for your viewing pleasure. The public area of the Racetrack is spacious , well lit , clean and secure. You can bet and cash tickets at the many kiosk , or at the wickets if you prefer the human touch. However there usually are only one or two wickets that are open , as such than can create a wait time to place bets or cash tickets. There is also a Tim Hortons on site that operates on the days there is live racing taking place . There is also a small lottery store that sells of course lottery tickets but also some Mohawk clothing and pop and snacks. Woodbine Mohawk Park is also attached to a separate building that hosts Woodbine Mohawk Casino. Woodbine Mohawk Casino is a two floor structure. You can get to the second floor by escalator or Elevator. The Casino is large and hosts a number of slot machines and tables. The casino is well lit , secure and clean . There are sufficient washrooms that are also clean. There is 3 main eateries. One upstairs and 2 downstairs. The staff at both the casino and racetrack are professional , knowledgeable and friendly. The variety of the slot machines is good and usually all machines are operational.

I've been attending the races at Fort Erie since my parents first brought me here almost 50 years ago. We returned recently for Prince of Wales Day and it wonderful to see the large crowd and the track itself still standing after all these years. Fort Erie was always a special place to attend the races for so many reasons. In my opinion it could have/should have been the Saratoga of Canada, but the province of Ontario and the Ontario Jockey Club never let this happen. That is why my recent visit was both happy and sad.

To begin it is one of the prettiest tracks that you will ever visit. The infield and paddock areas are still beautiful and remind you of past years when the finest thoroughbreds in Canada raced here on a consistent basis. There's also plenty of free parking, free admission, and the ability to wager in both Canadian and U.S. currency. The grandstand has been reduced to a fraction of it's former self, but there are still many good seats to watch the races from that extend throughout the entire stretch. Also, Fort Erie's location is a big plus because it's right across the border from Buffalo, New York, a half hour drive from Niagara Falls, and only a two hour drive from metro Toronto.

I would have loved to given 'The Fort' a five-star review, but some things still remain that stopped me from doing this. First, the daily changes (scratches) need to be posted much earlier in the day than they presently are. Second, the number of gate scratches at FE are among the highest I have ever seen. Seven horse fields suddenly become five horse races and with that your odds fall apart. I'm not sure how the commission vets handle things in Ontario, but what would help is morning inspections of all the horses slated to run that day. If a horse needs to be scratched do it at that time and post the change. A gate scratch should only occur if a horse has broken away during the post parade or broke thru the gate during the loading process.

Aside from this, Fort Erie is lovely and historic track that should be far more prominent in Canadian thoroughbred racing than it presently is. But, at least it's still around and for that I'm thankful. It's definitely worth a visit and I'll always have a special place in my heart for this track.

Grandriver Raceway. Friday evening is a lot of fun. The Raceway works hard to include the public via games before some races.

Popped into Ajax Downs to grab dinner and donate a few dollars to the casino. Dinner was excellent and as a Winners Circle member you get an extra $2 off an already special priced meal.

As for the casino. It was a bit disorganized. I wanted to just try some .25 slots but they were scattered all over, hard to find. However one of the floor staff did direct us to an area with some machines. I made my donation and we took off.

Noticed they offer a Breakfast Buffet on Saturdays for $2.99 (Winners Circle members) Thinking we may have to go check that out too.

Enjoyed the short time we were there and will return.

Nice little casino not overcrowded like Woodbine. Free self serve soft drinks and coffe. One really bad issue: when engaged on slot machine (That is all there is) and need assistance- it's non existent! There may be 2 staff on the whole floor and they pay no attention whatsoever to the assist light on the machines. Ours ran out of paper and we waited 40 minutes and still no one came finally a young woman decided to help and tracked down an employee who offered no appologies in fact was almost hostile that he was disturbed from chatting with other customer. In fact this is not the first time that assistance was required and its the same everytime - Customers are all complaining about this and yet management does not put more staff on the floor. As well line up at winners circle can sure use improvement - 2 clerks is insufficient to handle all.
