- Isabella V6 contributionsIt’s a church. Nice one. Not very fancy but feels historic. It’s too bad they removed the towers it gave the place a character and an original lookWritten March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - adi1 contributionThe park was clean, small, and simple, making it perfect for a relaxing visit. The charming little garden was an added delight that I absolutely loved.Written June 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Glen W6 contributionsExcellent well organized Market that you can spend a whole day looking. Some great finds and keepsakes at reasonable prices. I still noticed allot of safety equipment from the Covid days. Automatic towel dispensers, Purell hand sanitizer's and many area's the vendors still had plexiglass shield at the counters. I also seen allot of handicap improvements and easy access if you need that accommodation.Written April 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mila AToronto, Canada530 contributionsNice place to visit and not far from big city. Very overcrowded!!!! Keep in mind this!!!
When i have read all reviews I did not want to go....but my husband said - lets try .....so we did tried our first camping opening season 2021 . It was fantastic weekend since it was first day Ontario Government allowed camping season 2021 to be open. The weather was warm and sunny! We were camping with our RV, so we did not use the park facilities. Nice place- but people have to respect nature - and not to leave garbage.....what we saw people come to enjoy beach....enjoy hike....but all bottles and napkins and food waste left on the beach.....Disgusting!!!!
Lots of noise and sites are very close to each other with almost zero privacy.
Keep an eye on road as it is is full of vehicles , especially when you are with kids.
Saw lots of people were catching fish...looks like good place for fishing.
We did kayaking and we did swimming....the water was very warm!
Currently lots of caterpillars , and they are everywhere . It did not bother us as this is part of nature. Mosquitoes were at dawn and at dusk.
If you like sunsets - they are gorgeous here - and you can enjoy them from the main beach.Written June 14, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Elsbeth D22 contributionsWe stopped into this compact museum to get a glimpse of Guelph history. The kind lady at reception went out of her way to detail the museum offerings, the building history and its surroundings. She even tried to find someone who could open the John McCrae House for us as we visited before it’s opening day. Not to be, but we appreciated her efforts. The museum does a nice job of describing the areas industry, natural history and indigenous history in the space it has. A visiting display on fans was quite interesting. The bronze life size + statue of McCrae outside, and the commendation of the man and the poem inside were very moving.Written April 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Explorer_IMCambridge, Canada561 contributionsIt was a family outing to enjoy pumpkin patch and this visit did not disappoint at all. Pumpkins were almost over but little themed patches were enjoyable . The bakery also had good collection of pumpkin delicaciesWritten August 20, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marguerite SKingston, Canada435 contributionsGreat historical stop & really enjoyed the area & trails. Quite an accomplishment of the actual bridge construction & how it has survived all these years. We found the trail signs & actual bridge directions were not well marked out, depending upon the direction you arrived from. Would recommend an improvement for local & tourists visiting the area to stop & enjoy the beauty & peace fullness. Appreciated the fact that the area was clean & that visitors appreciated the beauty & nature by respecting the area, especially for the local residents that live there.Written October 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Francone9Barrie, Canada5 contributionsOur grandchildren really enjoyed the afternoon outing especially when they got involved with other children. The centre had a minimal amount of activities considering the cost of $10.25 plus tax. Also make sure you have socks with you or you will pay to purchase some if you wish to go into the centre.
The play centre had a large climbing apparatus made with plastic tubing, along with 2 diffierent types of slides. There is a small playhouse and an activity centre with some small toys and stacking cushions. There are enclosed areas for birthday parties at an additional cost.Written October 3, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Close to downtown it has lots of parking, lots of trails, picnic tables and activities to do. its right along a canal that opens up to big body of water near the Wellington st dam. Tons of walkers, hikers, joggers, bikers use the trails along the water. people fishing along the banks and off Gow's bridge, people fishing near the dam. You can see huge carp on the back side of the dam. The canal is used for canoes and kayaks as well with spots along the canal to launch from.Written June 3, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BoardingPass820579Guelph, Canada7 contributionsThere are so many different things to do in a library. There are kids, mom and senior group activities throughout the week. March break always provides different activities at different branches. The main branch downtown often has crafts, movies etc for the kids. You have access to internet, movies, paper back book or books on tape, magazines and lets us not forget the parts of the world you can discover as well as all the topics you can research.
There is something for everyone of all ages. Those who like to read can just have a blast. Those who do not like to read can listen to tapes. The possibilities are endless.
As to the amount of time you spend there that would be up to you as there are comfortable chairs and tables to sit at if you wish to do your reading or studying while at the library.
Great to do on a sunny day when you want to get out of the heat but do not forget those rainy cloudy or snowy days when you just want something to do.
It is always a good time to go and spend sometime in the library.Written November 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - daleflanniganGuelph, Canada7 contributionsA great selection of games, snacks, and food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very affordable, but if you plan on paying the flat rate of $5, be warned that there’s 65 cents in addition due to tax. :)Written August 21, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MajikManX1 contributionVery fun night out. We saw two horror movies and the dark scenes in the first one didn't look great but I don't think most people would notice that. Overall it was a great experience. Snackbar prices seemed quite reasonable.Written September 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
