On the west end of Lake Ontario we will find the Burlington Canal.
Sunrise's are dramatic here since they arise directly in the middle of the lake during June. There were lots of nature photographers there early in the morning taking photos of the birds. Fishermen rise early to come here and find the catch for the day. It is very picturesque and you almost forget you have the Hamilton Steel Work factories behind you. The Burlington Canal Lighthouse dates back to the mid-1800s and has a bit of history attached to it. There is a very small park here were you can have a picnic lunch or you can walk down the stony beach.

This is a pretty little area to get some pictures of if you’re nearby. The Hamilton sign is cool at night and lights up with changing colors. The flowers there are beautiful.

I visited this old building when the quilt of belonging was on exhibit. This visit took several hours as I examined all the 263 quilt blocks representing the cultural heritage of people living in Canada. Afterwards I walked through this old building and saw several studios of artists "at work". There were concerts and presentations also taking place in the building. Part of the building is occupied and part is up for leasing or renting. The owners are bringing it back to life!

i have been to this gallery several times and am always impressed by the creative art that they display. The art changes often, so it is always a surprise when i am in the area.

Lovely store with great selection and knowledgeable staff. Some rare books and first editions. Located in the heart of town - very quaint with coffee shops nearby.
