It is one of those places where visitors feel a community behind the exhibition, the dedicated people who want the place to be special and to grow and evolve all the time.
They also brought in the topic of space and its exploration, and there's a 15-minute planetarium show. It may be interesting for kids, but adults can easily skip it.
The on-site eatery is okay, but it has a great view of the nearby airport. (There's also an observation deck.)
The museum shop is huge and very theme-oriented.

To learn how not to give up your country to Americans. Learn how the loyalists fought the good fight and won. Beautiful and picturesque area that was once a battle ground area.

I really enjoyed all of the memorabilia displayed in the museum and was very surprised by their attention to detail. IT was excellent for students, the curious and people of all ages.

I'm a bit of a Timmies fan, so when I was so close to the original one I had to stop in. It's a fun photo-op at the old style counter upstairs and we enjoyed wandering down the memory lane and being reminded of the old uniforms and cups. Not to mention laughing at the old prices!

Went in expecting an average experience and was pleasantly surprised. Other than the guy who sold us out tickets, who clearly didn't want to be there, we had good interactions with all staff.
Some things are slightly run down or not working properly, but nothing's perfect. Memorabilia was pretty good and the cup was in residence so that was pretty cool to see (again, for me. First time for the others in my group.).
Overall, definitely happy I went. As a huge BC Lions fan I was happy to see all teams fairly represented. Good highlight of my time in Hamilton so far.

The 19th century Griffin house is a historic landmark within the Dundas valley trails. The Griffin descendants came to this region to flee from slavery south of the border. Great educational visit.

Tour of home was very informative. Nice to learn about some of the history in our own backyard. Would recommend.

This kept a 2.5 year old busy for a few hours, but not the kids over 5. The staff were wonderful, and price is right. There is a room for creating art/making music, gallery kitchen, ship/fishing room, camping/reading room and costumes for creative play. It is small and fills up quickly.
