- Mary MToronto, Canada104 contributionsI went for a walk and saw Tews falls and the gorge. There were stairs the view the falls on a lower level and a higher level.Written April 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DestinyEngineerAurora, Canada61 contributionsBeautiful area with great view. Dry weather seems to have reduced the flow to a trickle. I would reccomend a couple of rainy days before I would head out next time. The observation platform has a great view. The parking was a bit expensive at $7.50 for the short time that we stayed. I bet it is beautiful with more water.Written July 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- oskeerichardHamilton, Canada21 contributionsin 1966 my 2 brothers and I discovered the grinding stone that is mounted at top of falls. is was burried under the path to the left of falls. It was tradition on good Friday to walk the Bruce trail and have a hot dog lunch at the bottom of the FallsWritten February 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Полина ГOttawa, Canada1 contributionGreat place to visit. Keep in mind you have to make a reservation in advance to enter the sites. There is some parking available in the town itself but it’s quite a walk to the fallsWritten November 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KellyToronto, Canada336 contributionsThis waterfall was difficult to find at first but we managed. You start on an actual trail and have to go through unstable rocks to get to this waterfall. You’ll first get to lower Chedoke and have to hike around this to get to Upper chedoke (main waterfall). It’s v nice and worth the trek. Wouldn’t recommend swimming in the water though.Written September 21, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Darlene KHamburg, NY682 contributionsOn a very cold and crisp morning, took a short walk to Felkers Falls. Very scenic area, water falls was flowing! A little difficult to find at first, retuned another day and had no problems finding the parking area. Will definitely return once weather is warmer and we can hike further along the trails.Written December 18, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - OntarioTraveler9Burlington, Canada442 contributionsIt is a relatively easy hike to see this beautiful waterfall. I parked my car at the Rock Chapel Road parking of the Royal Botanical Garden (fee applies unless you have a RBG pass), and took the Borer's Trail to be there. It took me about 10-15 minutes walk to get there. The trail can be a little bit scary because it can be narrow with cliff on one side and no railing, so do take care. On one side of the waterfalls, you can see the top of the falls, but it is difficult to see the whole falls because of the angle and the trees. If you keep walking cross the bridge to the other side of the waterfalls (another 5 minutes walk), there are two lookouts that provide much better viewpoint. I was not disappointed with decent water volume. I continued on the trail for another 10-15 minutes, and I got to a viewpoint where you can see Hamilton with beautiful fall colours.
If you go the other way from the parking lot, you will be on the Escarpment Trail. I did not go too far on this trail, but I got to a place where I had a fantastic view of the fall colours and Hamilton also.Written October 26, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It might be better if you manage to get to the bottom of the falls, but I did not attempt to do so.Written April 25, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DestinyEngineerAurora, Canada61 contributionsEasy access from the parking lot, shoet walk and a great view of the cascading falls There were some helpful parks staff present as well who gave extremely knowledgeable directions. - KellyToronto, Canada336 contributionsThis waterfall is decently hard to get to and a little hidden. I went went this now was melting closer to end of winter. It’s really nice at this time and has water flowing with melting snow.Written September 21, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tracy R1 contribution$77 for 6 adults and 1 teen. Ridiculous. 1 outhouse and a waterfall that u can look at for 5mins. It should be way more cost efficient. You can't even walk between the two waterfalls anymore or walk down to the bottom. You can read a couple signs and leave.Written May 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ZeusthecockapooBarrie, Canada4,570 contributionsWhile the proximity to the road and drain pipe definitely steal a bit of the natural allure theses falls would otherwise have, I can’t really complain too much. Cliffview is surrounded by lots of attractive escarpment bedrock and and great views over the Hamilton cityscape. Water flow was good when I visited, plus lots of interesting icicles ringing the escarpment wall. I like how the falls are essentially two stacked falls, as the bedrock splits them about halfway to the valley floor. A viewing platform has been setup adjacent to the park which affords visitors the best view of the falls.Written March 13, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ZeusthecockapooBarrie, Canada4,570 contributionsFound along the scenic Chedoke Radial Trail overlooking the Bell Parkway. Small cute falls framed by two large mounds of layered bedrock. I like the alternating grey and beige colour of the rocks and the cascading layers of the falls, nice contrasts. Unfortunately the drainage grate and copious amounts of graffiti un-mistakenly mark this as part of the well travelled urban path. Definitely not one of the more stunning falls found in the area, but a nice treat if you’re already hiking the trail. The adjacent cliffs also allow for great panoramic views of the Hamilton cityscape.Written March 13, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
