- MochiVelvet225Philadelphia, PA4 contributionsMe and my wife travel a lot, and we decided to do a couples tour in Niagara Falls! We liked it a lot and would definitely recommend it to everyone we know. The Canadian side is way better with a lot of fun stuff to do in the cityWritten December 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BLT1991Toano, VA901 contributionsIf you took the time to get to Niagara to see the falls, I highly recommend doing anything you can to get up close to really feel it and see it from a different perspective. The Journey Behind the Falls is a great way to do that. The tickets were a bit on the steep side ($56 for me and my wife), but I thought it was well worth it. You take an elevator down and come out near the base of Horseshoe falls. The is a spacious observation platform with outside viewing from the bottom of the falls. You can then walk along the tunnel to 2 stone portholes. The portholes are the size of the tunnels themselves. You are roped off about 15 feet from the opening. The tunnels are well lit and smooth…it’s an easy walk and I don’t think most folks would find it confining.Written November 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jrzj42Ellicott City, MD1,736 contributionsIf you are going to be at Niagara Falls, Canadian side, spend a bit of time at Skylon tower. The restaurant is over priced, but you can purchase tickets for the observation tower only and enjoy all the surrounding views.Written July 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - weeezooWoking, UK623 contributionsLocated a little further from other attractions next to Niagara Botanical Garden. Most people just visit just want to see the butterflies only. Walking in all you see its butterflies and plants.Written October 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TripMember06072017Warrington, UK114 contributionsInvigorating and spectacular view of the rapids. Lift down was slow and cramped (I hate lifts). Followed by a long tunnel. Once down there it was fabulous. Superb views of the river and many information boards. Plenty of places to sit. I wouldn't like to be here in peak season, the wait for the lift would spoil it. Gift shop was OK. Parking opposite.Written November 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- free2ventureVirginia478 contributionsThere were not a lot of great reviews for many of the attractions here, so I just picked out 4 things and ended up having time for 3. This area is repeatedly referred to as a, "tourist trap." I never really get that phrase. It is as if people there don't know they will be paying a higher price for certain things in a popular area. Isn't that partially implied with travel? Take your family to the the nature based things and then go here for some late day or evening fun. Pick what you want to do most and have fun. They have a fun pass that includes multiple attractions, but I calculated what we wanted to do most and didn't think we'd use it all, but it seems like a pretty good deal if you have a longer time to spend there. Our family of 5, including 2 adult kids ;-) and 2 pre teens and a teen enjoyed the couple of hours we spent here.
I was a bit deterred by parking directly there based on parking prices I read about, but due to limited time from stormy weather throughout vacation, we just decided to go for quick access and parked in the Clifton Hill Lot. It ended up only being like $14 US dollars on a weekday, so not as bad as what I heard.
4 of us did the Skywheel and used $1 off coupons we found online. It was a bit overwhelming to look at while in line, but we pushed through and got beautiful views of the falls. It did not help in the beginning to hear them say we were 170 feet high, but after we pushed through initial nerves, it was not bad. You can fit 8 to a compartment, so I was pleasently surprised that all 4 of us could fit together. If you want the best views sit in the right hand seats as you board. You get to go around 3-4 times, with long enough pauses to get good pics. The line for this around 4p was about a 20 minute wait.
We also did the Midway Arcade. It was huge. It was pretty overpriced and had the worst prizes I've seen in an arcade. The claw machines were way overpriced at 20 credits! However, there were a lot of fun games to choose from, a few of which were new to us.
Finally, we did the Speedway. I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun this was. The staff weren't friendly, but the go carting was tons of fun. A review said it was like a Mario Kart video game course and this was true. It goes in circles, up different levels and down a few hills. We all had a blast at this, however the kids will need to work on their driving skills. I'd say this was in our top 5 of all things we did while on vacation.
Aside from all that, it was fun just to look at the silly attractions on the streets. I'd say it is definitely worth spending a few hours at. We did it on our last day.Written July 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I think because it was off season and it wasn't that busy we got to go around a few extra times which was really nice. I would do this again and recommend.Written October 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- tammyBaltimore_MdBaltimore, MD4,291 contributionsJust beautiful & magnificent views especially with the multitude rainbows when the sun hits the spray of the falls.

- sanju_222323New Jersey17,351 contributionsWhen you’re in Niagara Falls you will probably see the Rainbow Bridge. It’s not a multicoloured bridge, but a pedestrian and vehicle bridge that connects Canada and the US.
This is a legal border crossing and you’ll have to go through customs in the US and Canada. You’ll need to have your passport (and any visas you might need for each country). Crossing as a pedestrian from NY to Canada is free and the reverse route costs $1 but make sure you have cash; there is a machine to get the change from if needed.
Rainbow Bridge is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Typically, there are no delays in crossing on foot but traffic can impact delays crossing via car; especially during the holidays.
The Rainbow Bridge is also great for viewing the Falls & Friday night fireworks.Written November 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Was it worth the 1.5 off waiting in the que maybe not. Unique views that you can’t get from the gorge walls but you can hike down from the USA side which might be a better use of the timeWritten September 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BLT1991Toano, VA901 contributionsThis facility is modern and spacious. It offers ticket booths for the various tours, gift shops, restaurants, restrooms, and access to Journey Behind the Falls. It sits next to the Horseshoe falls so it offers a convenient respite from the mist and great views if you are inside. Parking is pricey at $35, but I guess that is the price for convenience.Written November 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Have Camera, Will TravelSouth Bend, IN3,807 contributionsWe were there on a Saturday evening in October and it was very busy. You had to wander a bit to find a decent slot machine. The casino floor was pretty nice. We had zero luck of course. - tammyBaltimore_MdBaltimore, MD4,291 contributionsBasically across the street from Rainbow Bridge to the Falls, large open areas with statues and places to sit & take in the beautiful site of the Falls across the way. Largest population of black squirrels I've ever seen too, had 1 come up to me while eating something, which I had no issue sharing.Written October 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
