Lots of great information. Learned about muskets and even got to lift one - way heavier than I had imagined!

Had an outstanding lecture/discussion in the officers' mess.

If you're at all interested in the history of the War of 1812, visit! It's worth your time.

This place can be kind of confusing...lots of trails criss-cross...lots of walking trails in the area. You can walk for miles! It was a gorgeous day but I had another destination to get to....I HIGHLY recommend this area!

This park has become quite pricey. Parking is now $20 flat rate for 4 or more hours! Washrooms are far away and park is not handicap accessible.
Rental of a shared area in the pavilion with a small charcoal bbq is pricey too.
But- our family (52 of us came this year) had a great time and the kids love the splash pool.

What a wonderful surprise to walk down King Street and see this beautiful park. We walked along the trails and just enjoyed the peaceful view of the Niagara River and Lake Ontario--we could even see the outlines of the Toronto skyscrapers in the horizon.

Walked through the park while geocaching. Beautiful park with lots of space and dedicated parking. There's a playground for kids and lots of well maintained grass.

The lilacs have bloomed early this year (was there today/May 8th) and there were a few that have already turned brown. Most were in full bloom and absolutely gorgeous! The smell when you got between the rows of bushes was absolutely heavenly. Apparently there are 200 varieties of lilacs here. I am not sure I saw that many but definitely a wide range of colours. I saw mauve, white, light pink, dark pink, purple and burgundy ones! I have never seen so many lilacs in one place in my life! Parking was free and it was so beautiful! Highly recommend a trip here! It's across from the Floral Clock area where there were still cherry blossom trees in bloom and beautiful tulips as well. The Floral Clock was all soil sadly but hopefully they will plant the flowers soon. It's always beautiful in the summer. The lilacs were definitely the highlight. It's too bad they don't stay in bloom long!

Ryerson Park is a beautiful scenic stop while walking alongside the shores of Lake Ontario. We got to watch sailboats pass by. You feel the wind coming off the lake, so dress warmly! It's a lovely time to slow down and enjoy the view.

The views of the beach and the Four mile pond were great to see from my drone. It shows just how beautiful the surrounding area really is.

Visited the park on a Saturday to see the town and Lake Ontario. Park is nice with beautiful views. It was crowded and parking was jammed. The town is a quaint beach town, but again parking is a problem.

Great new trail recently restored from an old rail line. Travels south from the Pillar and Post hotel to East-West Line, just under 2k. It is well maintained and travels through woods and hooks up to other trails nearby on Parks Canada properties.

The Niagara River Recreation Trail is lengthy. It runs from Fort Erie to Fort George in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Although many sections of it are suitable more for bicyclists, there are sections that are just as appropriate for hikers, walkers, and trekkers.

During a visit to Canadian friends, I trekked part of the Niagara River Recreation Trail independently on a day when I had free time away from my group. I visited the sections of the trail in Queenston Heights Park and Queenston Heights National Historic Site.

I found this to be a very scenic and very easy trail as it was pretty flat and paved at the sections I trekked.

This part of the trail is designed for use by everyone visiting Brock’s Monument the Laura Secord Monument, and the surrounding points of interest.

I rate the Niagara River Recreation Trail at 5.0 and recommend a visit on bicycle or on foot.

Stayed at the Prince of Wales Hotel, an old but well kept hotel in NOTL. We were attending the Shaw Festival as part of a small group. NOTL is a charming, beautiful town, and the locals are friendly and welcoming. Lots to do in the surrounding area.
