- laurelrsNiagara-on-the-Lake, Canada29 contributionsI live on the outskirts of the old town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, so obviously I am a little biased.
Having said that, the old town is stunning. When my husband and I want to "get away" for a couple of hours, we hop in the car, drive 15 minutes and then wander around the streets. We look in shop windows (and sometimes stop to buy), we look at the old houses, we spend time on the small beach overlooking Lake Ontario and Fort Niagara, NY.
The town takes great pride in its landscaping and any time of year is a great time to visit.Written November 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You can walk for miles! It was a gorgeous day but I had another destination to get to....I HIGHLY recommend this area!Written June 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Amy KEssex, Canada89 contributionsFoe the last 34 years a group of us have toured niagara wineries. While the group is smaller we still get together as friends and celebrate others.
Today we went to Hare Winery, what a great spot. Lovely wines and back story to explore. We enjoyed our tastings and then came back for lunch. The owner John Hare, shared some of the wineries history.
A nice thin crust pizza for lunch. Wines for every taste. Thank you Anna, Sonja, Natalie and John for an amazing winery experience.

- Marisa B3 contributionsWe did the Sip and Shop tasting with family and the experience exceeded our expectations. Our wine expert was Favour and he was able to determine exactly what our preferences were with only a few brief comments. He was very intuitive and knowledgeable. Serving sizes were generous and this winery produces excellent wine. Thanks for the great experience!Written December 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nancy BOhio132 contributionsThis floral clock is very pretty. It is well maintained with seasonal foilage. - gdgoNYRochester, NY10 contributionsThe first stop on our recent day trip to NOTL was the best. We've had been here a few times previously, but we wanted to introduce our friends to Colaneri. Brian was a wonderful host and he spent a good amount of time explaining the history of the winery, the various family members, their ties to the winery and the wines that are named for their particular interests and/or attributes.
Also, my wife loves their Cabernet Sauvignon, and since they don't ship to the U.S. we wanted to pick up a case while we were up there. Alas, it's a very popular wine and they had no more stock. It won't be available again until Christmas. Looks like we'll have to make another trip!Written November 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Mom had a Rueben sandwich, brother had soup and steak sandwich and friend had French onion soup and salad. We had a glass of wine and friend had New York cheesecake for dessert. Would recommend.Written January 29, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mary-Clare NNiagara-on-the-Lake, Canada72 contributionsHas some good deals but sometimes stock can be hit or miss. The food court is pretty good, and I love the cafe that is there (Aroma) !Written December 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karen KPuerto Morelos, Mexico1 contributionThis park has become quite pricey. Parking is now $20 flat rate for 4 or more hours! Washrooms are far away and park is not handicap accessible.
Rental of a shared area in the pavilion with a small charcoal bbq is pricey too.
But- our family (52 of us came this year) had a great time and the kids love the splash pool.Written August 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We walked along the trails and just enjoyed the peaceful view of the Niagara River and Lake Ontario--we could even see the outlines of the Toronto skyscrapers in the horizon.Written July 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandy36 contributionsDon’t miss this if you’re in Niagara on the Lake. It’s like something from The Waltons with an interesting history and full of authentic pieces from a forerunner of modern day pharmacies. Like being on a movie set and fits in so well with the beautiful town.Written September 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Climber134966213801 contributionThe grape pie was AMAZING! We stopped on our way back from Niagara on the Lake and had our own little picnic. I am traveling to Canada in a few weeks (not this area) and want to make sure I have grape pie. Definitely a stop I recommend! Never having had a grape pie (or heard of it), I was skeptical but I can say this was one of the best pies ever!Written September 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
