- Sightseer021912445231 contributionWonderful experience with the Icewine Festival Discovery Pass. Vidal Icewine, poutine food pairing was delectable. Great staff assisted with more wine tasting suggestions and excellent service. Would definitely go back. The beautiful castle like mansion and views was a bonus.Written January 12, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kcrhinoBuffalo, NY70 contributionsIt's been a minute since I've put together a review - of anyplace/anything - but our visit to Reif Estate winery led me to put one together. Altho we visit Canadian wineries often as we live in nearby Buffalo, we've never been to Reif. Due to a suggestion from somebody in the wine business, we took a Saturday afternoon ride up to see what we've been missing.
The property is beautiful, the tasting room clean and well stocked. Our tasting with Herb was informative, cordial and well structured. Herb has a vast knowledge of the Reif wines and an even more extensive insight on the Niagara on the Lake region as a whole.
The wines were very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our 90 minutes there.
Highly recommend!Written January 13, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Having said that, the old town is stunning. When my husband and I want to "get away" for a couple of hours, we hop in the car, drive 15 minutes and then wander around the streets. We look in shop windows (and sometimes stop to buy), we look at the old houses, we spend time on the small beach overlooking Lake Ontario and Fort Niagara, NY.
The town takes great pride in its landscaping and any time of year is a great time to visit.Written November 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He made our experience spectacular. He was very knowledgeable and also told us a bit about himself which was nice. We were teasing him, telling him he looked like a famous quarterback but he just took it in stride. Would recommend this experience to all.Written December 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- laurelrsNiagara-on-the-Lake, Canada29 contributionsLots of great information. Learned about muskets and even got to lift one - way heavier than I had imagined!
Had an outstanding lecture/discussion in the officers' mess.

You can walk for miles! It was a gorgeous day but I had another destination to get to....I HIGHLY recommend this area!Written June 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Amy KEssex, Canada86 contributionsFoe the last 34 years a group of us have toured niagara wineries. While the group is smaller we still get together as friends and celebrate others.
Today we went to Hare Winery, what a great spot. Lovely wines and back story to explore. We enjoyed our tastings and then came back for lunch. The owner John Hare, shared some of the wineries history.
A nice thin crust pizza for lunch. Wines for every taste. Thank you Anna, Sonja, Natalie and John for an amazing winery experience.

- Marisa B3 contributionsWe did the Sip and Shop tasting with family and the experience exceeded our expectations. Our wine expert was Favour and he was able to determine exactly what our preferences were with only a few brief comments. He was very intuitive and knowledgeable. Serving sizes were generous and this winery produces excellent wine.
