We did the doughnut and wine pairing with Donna. It was wonderful! Donna was excellent at explaining how the wines went with the doughnuts. She made the whole experience very enjoyable!

Absolutely the best wine tasting experience! Steve was so knowledgeable and friendly. It was so nice to relax in very comfortable lounge chairs as we enjoyed the pairings of wine and cheese. Of course the wine was superb!

It was my first time there, but it won't be my last.

We had purchased tickets to see Brigadoon for a Sunday matinee. There was an opportunity for a morning "Backstage Tour" prior to the play so we booked. We arrived and were the only two who wanted to get up early on a Sunday I guess. Nevertheless the 3 guides or "docents" (I learned a new word) were absolutely wonderful. We had basically a private tour behind the scenes and learned more about the history of the theatre and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Their enthusiasm made our tour that much better.
The Play in the afternoon was wonderful and it was a perfect day. Thanks to the Shaw Festival, its staff, and volunteers.

This is our 2nd time here at Inniskillin Wines. We did wine tasting and Yuna was able to assist us with this experience. We always love their icewines here, highly recommended.

Nice town/village. Still maintains a friendly. Quaint “Hallmark Christmas” atmosphere. Cute boutiques line the streets. Wonderful weekend getaway.

We had a wonderful visit to Jackson-Triggs Niagara estate this past Friday Nov 10. The building and vineyards are beautiful, the food and wine were delicious and everyone we interacted with were lovely - from Pierre's warm welcome to Maggie's great suggestions for lunch (local cheese and charcuterie board, confit duck salad, short rib tacos) and our wine tasting to our conversations with Glenna and others on the team in the Gift shop where we bought bottles of ice wine for ourselves and for gifts for family members. Thank you for a lovely visit.

The Hare might just be the best kept secret in the area!!! Unlike some other wineries, they are not pompous nor pretentious. The place is amazingly prepared to give the rustic, wine producing ambiance while still providing the sense of chic that you are looking for. Vlad was just so amazing at explaining everything from the winery to the different wines they offer and their pairings. Their charcuterie boards are generous and delicious, perfectly selected to combine with each wine. Simply a delightful experience!!! A real value for your money and a MUST!

Nov 4-5 was the Member's Weekend for the Trius/Peller/Gretsky/30 Bench Group
We spent most of Saturday doing 3 events at Truis. This year there were nominal charges for most events.
    1) The pre-release tasting was much better managed this year as it was presented as a seated tasting for a selection of 8 pre-release wines. They presented wines from each estate and as a panel had 3 winemakers and the estate sommelier to present and discuss each. The winemakers were fully knowledgeable about their wines giving details of the year/varietal and comparisons between vintages. The sommelier suggested pairing for all wines. The panel was responsive to questions and a good time was had by all.

    2) You had me at Merlot - Second event was a wine and food pairing. Trius Sommelier and Chef Dodd. Chef Dodd prepared three excellent pairings - A parsley embedded goat cheese topped with honeycomb to go with the Truis Brut. A slightly spice poached pear on lightly smoked Five Brothers with the 1st Merlot and Niagara gold with onion jam to go with the RHS Merlot. Each bite paired amazingly with it's selected wine. Chef was good enough to share the secrets of how to make the goat cheese and onion jam.
And then you went home with a take-out box of selected cheeses. How can you miss?

    3) Savory Bites and Back Vintages
If you are lucky enough to have some of these wines in your cellar ... Here's how they are tasting now. And what goes with them. Again another selection of suggested pairings with wines that are very limited in availability. But also a tribute to how the wines of Trius (formerly Hillebrand) are standing up to today's tastes. Do they measure up? Without a doubt.

Over looks Niagara River.- good view of boats. Shady in morning and sunny in afternoon. Good for recreational bicycling - relatively flat.

We had the most amazing time at Pilliteri Estates Winery. A group of us experienced the tour and tasting, and ate lunch at Barrelhead restaurant. Our guides were so friendly and knowledgeable and the food was amazing! What a great day. Definitely recommend. Best winery in Niagara.

Charming boutique winery in NOTL. The winery has a Country farmstyle vibe. Did a wine tasting, and the staff member we interacted with was very good, knowledgeable and honest. Walked out with a few bottles and enjoyed the experience. Recommended. Did not get a chance to eat in the restaurant, but the online reviews are good for the food, so will go back and do that one day.
