After breakfast at The White Apron, we made our way to Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens for a short visit. Only 1 car was in the free parking lot at 8:55AM and we parked beside it as it was in the coveted shaded area (right side). This lovely park has mature shady trees, a paved bike path, meandering walkways, park benches, picnic tables, a dome roof metal gazebo and different feature gardens like a waterfall garden and a peony garden (already past blooming season; best seen in June). The Oshawa Creek runs through it so visitors have to walk/cycle over the picturesque Rotary bridge to get to the other side. There is no connecting bridge on the north side of the park so one has to retrace one's steps back to the Rotary bridge to return to the parking lot. No washrooms on site. We only stayed here for 20 mins but in that short time we agreed we found a gem.
