Ottawa Art Gallery is a wonderful place to spend time looking through and enjoying some wonderful works of art, and it's all free. It's worth your while checking in.

This mall is not big but has a good selection, and is conveniently open until 9 pm. It’s low brow like a smaller version of Eaton’s Centre @Toronto/Dundas Square and not Yorkdale. Located beside Byward Market, the historic “hub” of Ottawa near Parliament, we were able to walk uphill from there to the War Monument across from Fairmont Chateau Laurier and the Eternal Flame on Remembrance Day. I was pleased that Indigo Bookstore moved to the mall area, which is great for kids. A skywalk easily connects over the street intersecting Sussex Drive, so that there’s simpler access on wintry days. A TD bank machine was at the main doors beside H&M. The mall is sometimes an attraction for a few folks who are begging, but otherwise, it’s generally family friendly. There are countless places to shop and eat both inside and outside the Centre. Since I missed the mall signs for parking, I found it was easiest (visa by parking meter) a block East toward Byward Market, in front of Giant Tiger and Marriott on the other side of George Street.

Great outlet, much better than Mirabel outlet. The deals are good. Expect 50% off and less.

Spent the day there yesterday with the family. The food court is VERY DISAPPOINTING. We went to the schwarma villa madina is VERY expensive (30$ for 1 person). The food was good for a food court, but very expensive.

I would suggest families who can to bring their own lunches or go to Subway.

A great corridor for a walk through the city. There is a lot to see in terms of stores and places to sit and people watch.

I’m used to London galleries not recognising Sundays and Mondays. Ottawa galleries tend to have a weekly retirement from Sunday to Tuesday inclusive. But when I walked past Cube last week I saw a notice on the door indicating it was now permanently shut save for occasional hirings. This it was a pleasant surprise this Saturday lunchtime to find it open, or rather a gentleman sitting in a chair outside ready to open it to anyone showing an interest. What was on display seemed to be an exhibition put on by the gallery because many of the most striking pieces were not for sale because part of the gallery collection. There was an impressive selection of works in different media, including oil and acrylic paintings, prints and sculptures.

I went in blind, not knowing what to expect and came out a lover of glassblowing. Every aspect was well explained, and demonstrated, the instructor was very knowledgeable and let you take the lead. I went to 2 classes in the same day, produced 2 lovely colorful pieces which I gave to my mother as gifts. Such an inexpensive class with such a rewarding result. I am doing a third class and am considering the week long course, it was that pleasant!

Nice little market. Some unique and interesting items. Vendors seamed friendly and prices mostly fair. Would go back maybe monthly to see what's new.

I go there regularly even though I live in the east end. It has a good food court as well as great stores like Pet World, Gamestop among others.

It is an amazing place to visit, always new old things to find and always great maps. The owner is very knowledgeable and even if you don't find anything that you would like or need you will still get a great history lesson

We first went to Bayshore which was far too large for us oldies to walk around so were happy to find Carlingwood Shopping Centre (Mall). The best thing was the quantity of seating which we had need of several times. There isn't too much in the way of variety, mostly clothes shops it seemed, though I may be wrong! Unfortunately, my experience was spoilt by the clothes shop 'Fantasie' where I bought a duvet coat which was marked $99 but got charged $100 (though cheap for Canadian prices most stores had sales starting around $99). When I looked at it again back at the hotel, I found a 3 corner tear on a sleeve. It was obviously there from the time of manufacture as the corner had been ironed over. I took it back next day but the assistant (not the one who sold it to me) was so rude, wouldn't even look at the damage saying 'no returns, no refunds' pointing out that that was shown on the receipt. I wasn't made aware of this policy when making the purchase, I didn't see any notice in the shop to this effect and how may people actually read the receipt at the time of purchase?

There is a very large selection of First Nations and Inuit artwork. Some unique silver jewelry and aboriginal motif giftware. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Be sure to stop and at least browse.
