- KAG870Toronto, Canada47 contributionsthe main focus of the festival in located at Commissioners Park, however there are many tulips in lots of different locations in the city. The different varieties on display are amazing, many I had never seen before or even heard of. At Commissioners park there was also a night time back lit display which didn't work well. There were however other displays ie stories about war brides which were very interesting. Also there were many movies and videos which where being shown at night time. The weather was terrible which means they were not well attended. In good weather I certain they would be great.
It was a good place to enjoy a Beaver Tail.
Although the weather generally was cool and rainy, we are glad we went.Written June 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The pedestrian only street is lined with ice sculptures that are lit up at night for a beautiful colorful effect. Several things for the kids such as skating on the canal (ice conditions permitting), tubing and zip lines. The tubing and zip lines are located just across the river in Gatineau. Not a bad walk on a nice day. Most kids events do come with a dollar charge. Adults will enjoy the restaurants and outdoor ice bars with heaters and seating. Loved the city of Ottawa. Great architecture. Found it to be very safe and the people very friendly. If you can take the cold, it's a great place to take a winter break with the family.Written March 5, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mjboileauSaskatoon, Canada6 contributionsThe fireworks display were amazing, great show. Getting in and out of the venue were horrible. The police did not give any useful direction. Felt like I was sent in circles on a couple of occasions.Written August 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - michael t3 contributionsLight display is immense, as advertised. Well worth the drive to see them. Roadway is clear going thru the park. Staff was helpful.
In one word: FUN.
Definately recommend for anyone.Written February 23, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The lights were very beautiful, but there were not many of them. We spent maybe 30 minutes on the whole experience. From the description on the web site, I was imagining a far more immersive experience, with a larger market with local makers and food vendors. There was a market next door to the event and admission was free with Glow...but that market is not open at night, which was not mentioned when buying tickets. We left feeling quite ripped off. For a better experience at a far lower price, check out Magic of Lights at Wesley Clover Parks, or Alight at Night at Upper Canada Village.Written December 16, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
