This stop was part of a bus tour from Eastern Ontario. The ferry over to Pelee Island was great. Larger ship than we expected & it provided good snacks/food. Washrooms were available and there was an elevator for those with mobility issues. Upon arrival on Pelee Island we were met by Peter (our tour guide) and a trolley. We were taken to the winery/pavillion for a delicious lunch and wine tasting. After that we took the trolley and toured parts of the island. Peter was very knowledgeable and had many interesting facts to share. The island is small but well worth the visit. The winery pavillion and staff were also very knowledgeable and provided us with a history of wine making in the area. It was a 9 hour drive to get here and it was worth it. Would love to come back again on a sunny day to enjoy this most Southern part of Ontario.

We found the point after trying one of the interior routes to the point. It is a long walk from the parking lot along the west shore of the point.

This museum is simply packed with so many interesting details about the island. I spent a very happy hour or more viewing the exhibits, and the museum staff member was more than happy to answer my questions.

I just did the hike the Lighthouse yesterday on a warm mid-September day (23C, 73F) and didn't encounter the complaints I've read above. It all depends on when you go. For me it was a pleasant and easy hike through the woods of the Lighthouse Point Provincial Nature Reserve. They have wooden walkways over the swampy parts. Then you come out to the beach a few hundred meters from the lighthouse and I had no problem whatsoever walking along the beach the entire way to get to it. In fact, there was at least 20+ feet from the water to the woods. So no, the water level isn't so high all the time that you have to bushwack through the woods and go off trail (and get mucky or scratched up) to get to the lighthouse. Second, no the bugs aren't bad. I brought bug spray but never needed to put it on and didn't get bit. I suppose it's worse in the summer, I don't know. But Spring and Fall you should be good. As for the lighthouse, it's okay. It's closed of course. It won't blow your mind. There's no amazing view that's much different than other places on the island. Just go to say you've been there. The fun is in the journey, not the destination. So rent a bike (from Comfortech Bike Rentals near where the boat docks) and go!

We always visit this shop. It showcases the local artist, everything is reasonably priced and some household items.

I enjoyed hiking here. In September the bugs were not bothering me but you could certainly hear them in the surrounding bushes. I particularly enjoyed the beach area and saw the limestone. Knowing this is a part of Pelee Island history made this enjoyable.

This is a nice quiet marina-family friendly. This is NOT luxury but it is special.
Best sunsets ever. Water is heavy with sulpher but people are friendly and it is a nice destination!

Sunrise Beach on East Shore Road is a quiet spot to catch the sunrise (or even the sunset through the trees).

Depending on lake level, this is a good spot to set up for an afternoon or go for a quick swim.

    Beach is natural.

quiet beach nestled through a trail on NCC Middle Point Woods Property.
Great to bike to; no parking available. No trash / waste receptacles so bring in, pack out.

Excellent bikes in great condition at a fair price - helmet included! But his service went above and beyond the call of duty for me yesterday. I was running late returning from the lighthouse and trying to get back to the ship before it left at 4pm (you're technically supposed to be there a half hour before they leave). I was already exhausted and dehydrated so I couldn't peddle as fast as at the start. So I'm racing back as fast as I could and it looked like I would miss the boat by a few minutes and have to stay the night on the island (and rent a cottage) But the owner must have anticipated my situation. He met me on the road as I reached his place and told me to keep pedaling to the dock so I could buy my ticket. He said he would pick up the bike later. Well thank God he did that or I'd have missed the boat for sure. I got my ticket and ran to the boat. I got on just in time seconds before 4:00pm. They radioed in right after to start lowering the front of the ship and departed soon after. I was by far the last person onboard. So what a nice thing for him to do. He made no money doing that but he saved me probably over $100 to rent a cottage or stay at a B&B. So great bikes at a fair price with amazing service. You can't go wrong. I highly recommend this activity if you go to the island.

Signs all say Buy one get one free as location is closing down. Did not make it in to see if they are relocating or just moving out. Might be some deals right now??
