We toured the Christmas market a few weeks ago and loved Soma !! I had never heard of drinking chocolate but I’m glad I bought it ❣️We tried it over the holiday and it was wonderful 😁

In the heart of Kensington you will find a mural with Miles Davis.
The bar is EXTREMELY narrow with limited seats and once packed for the performance, very uncomfortable to stand as people are constantly moving. Make sure you arrive early!
Show starts around 9:30 most nights.
Just inside the door (which is open to the outside) is a small seating area with a small sofa and few chairs and ottoman and piano and, fortunately, a small fire. My friend and I elected to sit there and could still hear the concert just fine, and it was easier to have a conversation. It was warm enough for us.
The cover was $15 and drinks are reasonable, staff friendly. Great place for a date, cozy and cool.
I have visited this bar several times and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great local music experience.

I have heard so much about this place and was mildly disappointed by the selection of foods offered. Service was with a smile but it still felt a bit too much like a cafeteria.

Went here one weekday evening after a work meeting with a friend. It was very busy, but we were able to get a table right away. Friendly staff and good food/tea with decent prices including an all-you-can-drink teapot option. Try the "Fairies' Blood" tea, which was wonderfully herbal, and the cheesecake. I actually fell on the floor (they encourage taking your shoes off when you're in a pillow booth so socks and wood floor not a good mix) and the staff were very attentive and got me ice for my ankle (it's all good now, I'm just a klutz)- the staff were super lovely overall. The disappointing part were the boardgames- they could use a refresh. The one we played was broken/missing pieces. There are other board game cafes in Toronto that have a bigger selection of games and keep them updated/fixed as needed. That said, this place definitely has cool Bohemian vibes and is worth a visit.
