The CN Tower was just amazing. I decided to go after 5pm and that way I could take pictures of the city both day and night. The views were stunning and there is so much activity happening in and around the city.
We got Senior Citizen tickets and spent about two hours visiting this attraction.
If you are a film buff, you will recognise this castle from "X-Men" and "Ready Or Not" (on Hulu), there are many other movies that have used the property as a background or interior set.
The highest turret is a claustrophobic climb for some folks, but there is a fantastic 260° view of Toronto that is almost worth the price of the tour.
I gave it one star deduction for the audio tour; they should have docents giving guided tours, that would make the Casa Loma a true 5-star experience!
A gorgeous area of Toronto to dine and shop and walk around! Lots of great shops and the chocolate shop Soma is sooo good! Lots of art and if you have time the theatre is a great evening date night!
Loved our visit to the Rogers stadium to catch the Bluejays in a Baseball game against Miami. Very well organised, lots of space, not over crowded, easy to get food and drink and of decent quality considering the volume of visitors. If you are going to Toronto you have to try and do a game!
We went to read the Toronto star and Globe and Mail at the Toronto public library located at Yonge Bloor on Friday November 1,2024. We will return to this library again.
This is the place to be in Toronto for a lot of vintage shops in close proximity. We're big thrifters, so we enjoyed this area. Your mileage may vary. It's a fun, vibrant, artsy, and not quite as expensive area of Toronto.
We bought tickets to see the Toronto Maple Leafs play in the NHL . Loved the experience, massive arena. Easy to navigate, walked from our accommodation in Peter St.
Nice square in the center of downtown that has the "Toronto" sign for pictures. It wasn't that busy when I was there, food trucks are on the corner and it has table/chairs to sit and people watch.
The focal point of the neighbourhood is undoubtedly the intersection of Yonge and Dundas, which is a major public square surrounded by tall buildings and electronic bill boards. There is a fair bit to see here - The Eaton Centre, a busy shopping centre boasting more than 230 retailers and dining options - A performance at the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre, or a “banquet burger”—at Fran’s Restaurant and Bar, which stakes a claim to inventing both the burger and the term. If you do not mind heavy crowds and loud performance street music then you might just enjoy yourself.
We had beautiful weather during our trip, so we just wandered down here for a bit to see it when we also visited Nathan Phillips Square. It seems like a great idea for a city that sees very cold weather, but it was pretty empty down there currently.
I love the calmness of the harbour, a cool place to hang out in the evening too...while watching the boats go by.
While there take a boat ride you won't be disappointed with the wealth of information and history about the harbour and the islands off in the distance...a few restaurants and shops lined the area as well.
Beautiful and picturesque skyline of Toronto when on a cruise on the lake, shouldn't be missed.
This is one of the main streets in Downtown Toronto. Accordingly, you will see a ton of people, both locals and visitors. There are a lot of attractions, such as malls, restaurants, bars, clubs, and other stuff along the street.
City centre at its best. Lots of shops and restaurants, so easy to walk around and explore. It's a very nice area you will walk nearby lots of big sights like the council or Chinatown, just pace around.
