Myself and my son went to the CN Tower and we had a great morning. We went up to the first part and looked at the incredible views. You could see all over Toronto and even the sky scrapers looked tiny.
We paid the extra $10 to go to the sky pod which is the highest part and took in all the beautiful scenery. On the way back down we stood on the glass sections to look down to the bottom which is also a fun thing to do.
I highly recommend this attraction if you visit Toronto.

Huge library with lots of space to relax. Exhibits on fifth floor are nonexistent though--it's just a bunch of books.

Dominating Nathan Phillips square this magnificent building and huge clock tower are a sight to behold. The clock tower rings out the hour, not so good if you are in a local hotel!

Circumnavigate the building to look at all of the detail then rest on the front steps. It has quite a story and is stunning to take in.

This is the hub of Toronto's public transportation. You can transfer from bus to subway or vice versa. It is close to a lot of attractions in Toronto. Also, waterfront is accessible via tram.

This is a lovely looking building that offers free tours every 30 minutes until around 5 PM.
The front steps of the building is also featured in a Rush band album called Moving Pictures, of course my wife who’s the biggest Rush fan ever had to inform me of this.
Anyway, we took the free tour which was guided and we enjoyed it. Photos are allowed which we appreciated. They take you through several rooms of the building explaining each one.
After the tour, you’re free to look around the lobby area which has some interesting historical items and there’s a gift shop as well. It’s a nice interesting tour and it’s free so I’d highly recommend checking this place out.

Unique. The shape of the building is so unique and I immediately understood the nickname of the building, flat iron. It is very close to st. Lawrence market, so it is worth visiting if you are heading to the neighborhood.

Amazing facility. Great to stroll around and check out goods. Maple and bacon doughnuts are a revelation. The artwork made of old seats is really clever.

A great place to walk. The park is close to the University of Toronto, so my visit to the park was combined with that of the university. There were a few local people enjoying morning walk while I was there. Peaceful.

The Dominion Centre of Toronto is part of the attractive Toronto skyline in the heart of the finanical district. The 2 most impressive buildings are the original 56 story Toronto Dominion Bank Tower and the 46 story Royal Trust Tower with there powerful designs and a granite paved plaza. There is also shopping and restaurants as part of the underground PATH system.

This is a very confusing place to try to get around - It is part of the Toronto PATH - and all the corridors look identical - There are plenty of good places to eat if you are doing work in the offices upstairs, but nothing that would make you come here that you can't find in one of the larger malls. Architecturally - it is a beautiful building with all the white granite and the flags of all the provinces and Canada at the king street entrance.

Located in the bustling downtown area of Toronto,at the corner of Bloor Street West and Avenue Road, this little church was built in 1871 and is a Neo-Gothic building. It opened on June 15, 1879. Beautiful church, however not overly ornate. Very close to subway. In fact it looks a bit as if the surrounding modern buildings could choke a small church. Worth a visit when you are in the area.

The pal we were visiting in Toronto suggested that - after touring a pleasant local park and being entertained by the birdsong - we might like to visit the local water treatment works.
'We've only got three days,' we said. 'Sorry, but it just doesn't appeal. Isn't there somewhere else... an art gallery, perhaps?'
He persisted. He practically begged. Not wanting to offend him, we relented, and he drove us to the RC Harris water treatment plant.
Well, thank goodness he was so insistent.
It's beautiful. Magnificent old brick-built temples to industrial innovation, stylish and elegant architecture, birdlife everywhere (with endless nesting options beneath the needlessly ornate fripperies on the buildings' facades), mighty views, fresh air and living history.
