- kvga13Düsseldorf, Germany74 contributionsIt was a nice trip during very nice weather. The boat ride was quick, fair price and the island was pretty as well. Beautiful places to see everywhereWritten September 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Keith FLondon, UK12 contributionsWe took the pirate taxi from Toronto to Centre Island. It cost CAD60 for the 4 of us. It was a nice little trip and the captain was really fun (we can’t recall his name but he was a slightly older gentleman with greying hair). He gave us lots of fun little facts and also took some nice pictures of the 4 of us (free of charge).
I don’t tip for things like this as a matter of course but our Captain was so nice that we decided to give him a tip (which had to be in pounds because we had no dollars on us!) but he was really pleased with that anyway because he said his wife was off to the UK soon so he could give her the tip for spending money!
We’d recommend taking the pirate ship out to the Islands and we took the ferry back to Toronto (which is free of charge)Written July 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Sean was extremely friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The tour included both beautiful skyline views as well as some lesser-known hidden sites. Would highly recommend to anyone (he also offers traditional tours and water taxi service)! Sean is easily reached by phone.Written July 30, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

We used this ferry to get to Toronto Island Park. It is definitely the cheapest option to get over there, compared to the other single boats with gimmicks to get there.
The positives is that is a good price to get a return ticket to and from Toronto Island, there is plenty of space on board (but if you are last one you may not get a seat), and the views of Toronto as you travel on the water are spectacular.
The negatives are the waiting times for the ferry, if you miss one, it's a good 30minute wait for the next; and the main negative being the ferry terminal in the city feels like a cattle pen. Very harrowing when people start crowding and pushing to get onto the ferry, you'd think it would be better organised and managed. So be prepared for this in the main terminal. A queue system might create some order, or only selling tickets for a specific time.Written April 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Service is fairly quick, but can get a bit busy during the weekends at the peak of summer. Streetcar stops right in front of the pier where the boats are docked.Written August 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
