We'd never heard of the CNE though having been told about it by the locals decided to pay it a visit. It was a bit of trek from our hotel, though easy enough to get to via public transport (in our case we used the trams). As we went on a Monday our son got in for a reduced U13 rate, so it was relatively inexpensive. In terms of things to do it was pretty good, with a mixture of fairground rides, food stalls, trade exhibitions, a photography exhibition, bars, music stages and when we visited, the Canadian armed forces were there along with vehicles and equipment that kids and others could look at and handle. There was also a pricey Pink Floyd exhibition, which given the cost and our lack of interest we didn't bother with. All in all an interesting day out and there was plenty to keep us occupied for the entire day.

We have been attending the “One of a Kind” show each December as a family for over 25 years! (With the noticeable exception of 2020’s Covid virtual event). It’s been one of our favourite family holiday experiences through all of those years.
There is a huge variety of products including pottery, glass art, painting, woodwork, metal art, jewelry, food products, health & beauty products, fashion, accessories and many more. Meeting the makers and experiencing such a diverse selection of products is half the fun!

This is a big venue and show with lots to creatively experience in many ways
A few important things to note:
    > TIme: it takes a minimum of 1.5 hours to just walk through the whole show! It’s a huge building and lots of exhibits ~ plan for 2-3 hours if you want to take your time and explore

    > Lots of walking: it’s over 1.5 -2 km just walking the simplest route up and down the main aisles - wear comfortable footwear

    > Cost: admission is $10-15/person
Parking is $15-20 under the building or transit is a great option
Most vendors have cashless payments so plan on what you are willing to spend - we go with a shopping budget & a gift list

    > Food > there a food trucks etc in dining area - be prepared to line up to place your order & get your food!

    > Lots of people! ~ this is the biggest craft show in Canada and it’s holiday season!

I have been attending this attraction since 2007. Since they sold the business to Informa, prices for guests have gone up significantly, quality of the show has gone down. Back in the past, I use to come home with a TON of free swag from tshirts to ball caps to legos to plushies. The last few years, swag was hard to come by.
I have also been constantly emailing them this year for a slight exception to an entrance rule. I have been declined. In the past, I know that they would have made the exception.
Sadly, I feel that eventually, they will be pricing out the real fans.

Don’t bother with this. Very disappointing! It only lasted 20-25 mins. Very loud music and not great. Real rip off!!
