This bar is pretty special you need to be open minded and respectful of other peoples sexual orientation. The Drag Queen shows are very good , funny and entertaining and staff friendly.

Only the 3 big was the deal..... Starting with the Sona who was the #1 after hours club hands down, perfectly located in the downtown of Montreal but unfortunately has died in 2004, in the 2n place the Red Lite who was located in Laval (northern suburb) the location of the place was not very appealing because when you think after hours club you think downtown of a city not suburb or in the country , anyways their biggest mistake they make is moving in a brand new building still in Laval about roughly 10 minutes from their previous location to finally died in 2013 ish because the city of Laval is not allowing after hours club between 3am to 8am. And finally in the 3rd spot we have the Stereo , who is still running strong and their location is just perfect right at the beginning of the gay village if you coming from the west of the city of Montreal , the problem with the Stereo is the since 2017 and counting this is the poor content as example Chus Ceballos, David Morales, Atroxx & Victor Calderone and repeat lol !!! and another thing their website who is super not accurate at all , when you go there its look like ghost area , you don't know who's on the scene and if they're open or not.

We all know this type of culture (Trance/Progressive/Techno) is not popular at all in the western hemisphere , i guess the real winner of the big 3 is the Sona (Where i spent very quality time for the record) because they shut down the place at the right time, on the top of his glory !!!!.

So! I guess this is THEE place for EDM concerts in Montreal, huh? They definitely know how to herd people around! (in a good way)

After knowing NOTHING about this venue, I was even surprised to find it in the middle of the night when going to see Steve Aoki perform. They posted that his start time wasn't until 1:30am, so I decided to make my way over from the hotel around 11:30pm, in hopes to get a drink and get settled in. I WILL say that I was impressed on the overall theming of the place, the expertise of the security/staff that were there that made me feel welcome (and kicked the underaged drunk teenagers out), but i was MOST IMPRESSED by the wide, labyrinth-style hallways leading into the place that insured steady for of THOUSANDS of people to and from the concert. It was a real adventure.

They led us up the stairs to scan our ticket, down the stairs to the coat room, down the hall for the first bar, UP the stairs to the venue! I've gotta say - it made the most sense and got me to spend a little more on the way to take care of my coat (rather than be the cold ladies wearing nothing, still not realizing that it's frickin winter outside!)

While I was very impressed with the venue itself (dance hall, traffic flow), I was upset about the drinks. $9 for a beer?!?!? I understand Supply and Demand, but I was two drinks in and out $20! that's not worthy of getting buzzed with! (I also got a shot of Jaeger, but that was $7, so i'm not counting that - that's fine)

I will also say that standing in general admission sucks by yourself. Unless you have like 5 friends with you that you can latch on to, it's really hard to have a good time while unintentionally bumping into people you just don't know. So for most of the show, i had my back up against the sound booth, "watching and enjoying"...

...and also, since when did 6 foot college boys like EDM? When did they freakin grow so tall that i can't see the stage? blows my mind...

All-in-all, great sound system, probably have a better time in VIP (so upgrade!), drinks were a little pricey, THANK GOODNESS FOR COAT CHECK, and the staff was not intimidating (thank goodness)

Visited United dance club in Montreal on a Friday night. The music was great, three different areas where you can dance. Each one has a DJ playing variety of music.
Cost to get in $8, plus jacket $2.50, one beer cost $8, plus additional tip.
    Overall, music was good.

Heard the music on the street and walked in. The interior is mostly old and worn out. The dance floor is big and renovAted though. Friendly bartender. Great salsa music.

Cool dance floor but music is techno not 80’s and 90’s Crowd was mixed ages so that was nice. Biggest issue was the mixed drink had no alcohol in it. I’d say bottle was watered down so we only had the 1 drink cuz why pay for water.
