The church was free to enter but then there were charges if you wanted to visit the museum so we decided we’d seen enough of old Montreal.
Still worth visiting this cute church with some amazing stained glass windows.
Not sure why this is under shopping here, it’s a church and museum!

The current Kusama exhibit was predictably wonderful and our guide Laura was warm, knowledgeable and personable. A wonderful place with an admirable mission.

Rue St Paul is a must street to visit in Old Montreal but be sure to drop in at this gem of a store. Very expensive but worth a look.

Waiting all my adult life to buy myself a mink coat, I found the perfect coat at Dubarry Furs… a reversible knee length mink coat that I can wear in rain or snow. Every time I wear it, I will think of an amazing trip to Canada. Not only is Old Montreal postcard beautiful, but also Dubarry’s owners Elizabeth and Ivan are gracious and helpful. What an amazing family business!⛄️

This place is directly above Ben & Jerry's. It showcases contemporary paintings by diverse indigenous artists from around Canada, as well as Inuit soapstone sculptures, beaded leather handicrafts, and giant dreamcatchers. Their gift shop section has a small but nicely curated selection of high quality souvenirs made by Indigenous-owned businesses, like handmade soap, beautiful beaded earrings, local fruit preserves, and ethically harvested sage bundles and sweetgrass.

I was showing my parents around the city and we walked into a couple of galleries in Old Port. This gallery particularly stood out to me. There are very original and beautiful pieces that paly with different moods, techniques, and mediums.

We loved this gallery. From the second you come in, it exudes warmth. His work is so open and loving. I couldn't say enough about it. I couldn't imagine walking in this gallery and being any way but happy to be there. Thanks Peter for the AMAZING work you do.

Spread over two floors in this gallery was the relatively unchallenging art of a trio of septuagenarian Frenchmen. Landscapes, street scenes, flowers, all very pleasant and undemanding. Perhaps the only modernistic aspect of these paintings was the way paint on some works had been plastered on using a palette knife. One of the artists in question was in residence upstairs. Those of his friends too frail to mount the stairs to see him could Instead see a video of him downstairs.

MY wife bought a beautiful black mink cape with Chinchilla at a very reasonable price . The staff were very friendly and helpful. The owner was there. He is very friendly and open to negotiation on price. They had a great selection of jewelry, clothes and many other high class items. If you are in the market for first class items this is a place you should go

Great little stop for a coffee and snack. The wait staff is amazing. There is also a little boutique attached to the cafe.
