I have been coming here since they opened it, and even before then I used to be cycling along the canal and thinking what a good idea it would be just to open the fence and feed beer to thirsty walkers and cyclists. And one day, lo and behold! there it was - a little terrasse. Fast forward a few years and it is now a huge terrasse, with a a simple selection of bar food and friendly staff. There isn't any service - you go to the bar to get your drinks and order food, and you go pick the food up when called. Very like an English pub, in fact. I like their beers, and I like the food, and I like the location, and I will keep coming back - in summer anyway. It closes soon after Labour Day. Only grumble? Shrinkflation. The drink sizes my be the same, but the food portions aren't. But I suppose everyone is having trouble with rising costs right now. Going back again? Of course...

An original selection of beers to try in a great looking brewery with friends! The tour as helpful in understanding how their selection is made. Would recommend for those visiting Montreal or locals who are looking for something to do on a Saturday.

    Positives:
    1) The beers: There was about 15 different micro-brewery beers on tap, all very distinctive(from Pale Ale Tea to Coffee Stout) each with a clear description. We hesitated between two kind so the barmaid gave us tasters. In total we tasted 5 different beers and each was unique and tasted great. I enjoyed the milkstout and an IPA (forgot the name) the most.
    2) There are many board games to play while you drink.
    3) The bartenders were nice.
    Negatives:
    1) They don't have a kitchen that serves hot food, so there is a 'latin-fusion' food truck next to the place, but I wouldn't eat there again if I went back. The shrimps tacos are a joke and the patacones are covered with cheese and coleslaw?! You can also order food for delivery. That's what I would do if I go back.
    2) We went on a very cold December night, but it was too cold inside. Made no sense. There is a side door that anybody going smoking outside keeps opening and the cold air entered. The bartenders were dressed accordingly, so I guess it was not the first time the place was so cold.
