Since the spa opened years ago, I have gone there multiple times. In those times, it was truly a relaxing place, quiet, professional, and clean. The check ins were always easy and the front desk staff were knowledgeable about the spa. It was a gem and the best spa around the Montreal vicinity. I have recommended many out of towners and also people from the outskirts of Montreal.
Today, it took me 35 minutes to check in, the spa seemed overbooked with tons of people, not quiet at all, people talking, and the premise itself is not what it used to be. I felt like I was entering a factory of some kind. The washrooms would need more frequent upkeep with this kind of volume of people constantly coming in and out.
Some of the front desk staff were new recruits who did not have much knowledge about various aspects.
Unfortunately, the price that was given over the phone by Spa agents, was not the price I paid in person, but I did not have the time to wait even longer to sort this aspect out.
This spa was near and dear to many of us, and I do hope they bring it back to the high standards and professional environment that it was previously.
It would also be beneficial to have a bilingual staff, as there are many out of towners. Some of us in the already long line were asked to wait even longer until a staff who spoke English would be available.
I must emphasize that the staff there are very polite and helpful, I do appreciate this as they are working under much pressure, because the lines are long. I had a lovely young lady who finally checked me in. This is not their fault, it is the management who would need to look into this closely on how to control the amount of people entering, and hence improve the service in all aspects of this spa.
