What travellers are saying
- Kittensworth C1 contributionThe best art gallery on Saint Paul street, only local artists with great stories behind the artworks, 100% Montreal street art with a passionate staff. We bought few pieces for reasonable price and the experience was a 5 stars
It's like an open museum, little in an underground basement. The paintings are really colourful, with a big variety of styles: from abstract to surrealist in passing by impressionist artworks. We can say it's a contemporary art gallery without being too codified, it's really approachable without being too pop art. I'll say that the curators make a good job and really made this place a Montreal gem 💎
They have an other gallery on the Plateau with the art studios upstairs which look super cool, but I didn't have the time to go during my tripWritten February 23, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was an interactive exhibition and used many great learning techniques to keep the visitor engaged.

- napngsAlbany, NY353 contributionsHighly recommend a visit to Images Boreales Galerie d'Art Inuit in Vieux Montreal. I had found this years ago while walking about Old Montreal. On this recent visit, Thursday May 2, 2024, we were on an MTL Detour of history, architecture, & culture in this area and there it was again. How fortuitous!
A unique gallery of First People's art, sculpture, fabric, etc.
"In Canada, the term Indigenous peoples (or Aboriginal peoples) refers to First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. These are the original inhabitants of the land that is now Canada."
These are commissioned works of the Inuit people of Northern Canada (Nunavut). These objects are carved from bone, ivory, & stone. The gallery also offers First Nations artists, Dene, Haida, Coast Salish, Ojibway and others.
Most people will not be able to visit these remote indigenous homelands, so here is a place where you can view & purchase these unique artworks.
Open every day 10am-6pm.
Thank you to the helpful & informative staffer who answered all our questions on our visit.

The location of the Loggia right in the heart of the artists section of beautiful Montreal and one block away from Joel's sculpture studio could'nt be more inspirational for this (me) budding sculptor. The rooms are spacious, with wonderful beds and beautiful art all around (and for sale too!). The common room upstairs has a wonderful homey feel where you can while away a quiet morning and the breakfast menu was expansive and healthy.
My daughter came away with a much greater understanding of what great sculpture entails, and I will be back to tackle a full weeks intensive tutelage under the master sometime in the fall. Guess you can say, what are you waiting for?

- 3CousinsChicago, IL230 contributionsI stopped in because it was near my hotel when I was out exploring the city. Benoit was so personable and made me feel so welcome even though I had no intention of buying anything. I didn't think I could even afford anything there, but there was an affordable piece I couldn't forget so I returned to buy it. He poured me a glass of white wine while he wrote up my purchase and even carried it to my hotel for me. That is something I'll never forget.Written November 21, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alexandra H2 contributionsI was showing my parents around the city and we walked into a couple of galleries in Old Port. This gallery particularly stood out to me.
