This tour is very weather-dependent. The highlight of the trip is supposed to be the views from the cable car and at the top. As we ascended, fog became thicker. At the top there were no views at all, only fog. We took the cable car down after a few minutes. The "village"at the base is basically an outdoor mall. The stop on the way, the "gold lake" at Sainte-Agathe was pleasant. Many trees had autumn foliage. The stop on the way back, Saint-Sauveur, is a pretty little town that seems to exist for tourists. Unfortunately, it rained as soon as we got off the bus, so all we could do is duck into a shop for coffee. Luckily, we saw lot of fall foliage from the bus on the way.
