It takes your breath away as soon as you walk inside. The place is just beautiful and I would recommend visiting here if you only have time to visit one church. The craftsmanship inside the church is just spectacular.

Staying at the wonderful boutique William Gray Hotel. Attached coffee shop, Olimpic, with David is just great coffee. Next door across the street Amable is a black door - entrance to a hidden gem the Cold Room, a speakeasy. Ya gotta try it!

This was an amazing muesum about the history of Montreal. The museum does a great job of documenting the older and newer history of the city and sits on top of many of the original landmarks of the city. Took about 3 hours to go through though could have stayed longer.

Great place to wander and wonderful restaurants! Parts of the road were under construction, but you could bypass on the sidewalks. Very busy on the weekends. Modavie Restaurant had great music after 7 pm. Gluten free options were good and the Boulangerie Le Marquis had awesome crepes! Nice to wander, pop into shops and grab a meal with a nice glass of wine.

This place is wonderful! It has a beautiful chapel, and a wonderful museum which is a great way to learn about the city's history through the inspiring story of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys. The lookout affords wonderful views of the port area. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
If you're not likely to enjoy the crowds of the basilicas, visiting here is a great alternative (or, if you're keen, an addition!).

Very much enjoyed not only looking at the exhibits but having a go on the many interactive ones as well. Great for families of all ages. Luckily when we went it was not busy and only one school group of little children was visiting but I can imagine it getting busy if several groups visiting which would make it harder to interact with exhibits.

Great exhibits. Great video narration in each room. But maybe a slightly dull topic? Tour proceeds through 1st floor & basement. Overview in the first room is essential to understanding the history.

The busy square of Place d'Armes is very much in the city center. The twin towers of Notre-Dame Basilica front the public space, as does the historic Bank of Montreal and its small museum. The Old Seminary of Saint Sulpice, adjoining the Basilica, dates from 1685.

Place d'Armes is a key piece of Montreal, historically and aesthetically speaking. It is the oldest stone dwelling in a city where originally most buildings were constructed more cheaply and simply in timber.

History is everywhere- At its center is a majestic Gothic fountain, a beautiful monument to Paul de Chomedey, the French military officer who founded Montreal. and
it’s surrounded by what seems like a “best of” Montreal monuments: Notre-Dame Basilica, the Saint-Sulpice Seminary, and
the majestic Aldred building, an Art Deco icon built in 1931 for the New York-based Aldred & Company. The 23-story, tiered building has been called Canada's answer to the Empire State Building

I wouldn’t make a special trip to here but if you are in the area it is worth a stop. The architecture on the outside is interesting. On the inside are some interesting shops and a cafe. There are a few restaurants on the floor below but we didn’t visit them.

Amazing place , with a lot of differents activities for the family , you can go to the maze, visit the market and the fair , also get a ride on the zipline or the ferris wheel , try to visit in fall or spring because in summer is expensive , definitely a good place to spend a weekend

A huge magnificent building on Rue Notre Dame. It looks magnificent in the sun and has some well planted carpet bedding beds to the front

yup, one can wonder about the beach in Montreal, but there is a beach in Montréal, especially in the Old Port! Just five minutes from downtown, the Clock Tower Beach, on the same name's quay, offers sun, sand, and a unique holiday atmosphere.
but there is a bummer- swimming isn’t allowed, but refreshing mist stations set up along the beach take the edge off the summer heat.

The urban beach—with views of the St. Lawrence River, the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, Île Sainte-Hélène, and Old Montréal—can accommodate up to 800 people.

I've visited Centre Phi twice; once for a VR exhibit several years ago and just recently for the Yayoi Kusama exhibit; really enjoyed the Infinity Room!

Building properties are very nice and intimate for holding exhibits.
Staff is generally friendly and perfectly bilingual
Entry is pricey but they frequently do offer free tickets for some exhibits (Yayoi Kusama being one such example)
Clear written descriptions of all pieces of artwork
Ticket ordering process was quite straightforward on their website; thankfully I didn't have to wait too long in the "virtual queue" :)

Only two comments (with regards to the Yayoi Kusama exhibit)
    - Staff should have informed us about the audio guide option at the start of of the visit; we only found out about this towards the end
    - More time should have been given in the infinity rooms

I would come back depending on what's being shown

Research the language options in advance to your IMAX visit. We did and we enjoyed every minute of the presentation.
Refreshing and delicious snack options and refreshments available.
Enjoyable views and seating options for all in the waiting area.

The church was free to enter but then there were charges if you wanted to visit the museum so we decided we’d seen enough of old Montreal.
Still worth visiting this cute church with some amazing stained glass windows.
Not sure why this is under shopping here, it’s a church and museum!
