I attended several festivals in this area this summer. There a plenty of activities here, to watch, to participate or just enjoy a stroll on St-Catherine Street. It is closed off to cars, so the only traffic you have is foot traffic. I definitely recommend you drop by for at least one of many festivals during the summer in Montreal.

It is a huge shopping centre with excellent offer of food in the lower part which we visited a few times and some boutiques and other shops on the entry level. It has also bigger general store at the corner with good choice of fruit and veg.

Guarantee of great sound, I am not an audiophile but it does not matter where you sit for a great sound experience. The place was built for sound. Choose wisely for seats since if you are seeing a large concert maybe choose a little higher. Lower loges are no better than central and I prefer to see the entire show. Red Army Choir is my next. Pre pay parking and pre reserve dinner at local places makes things simple.

It's called "The Main" here, part of the local lore. Historically important as the neighborhood of the 19th Century immigrants, Portuguese and Jewish. Still some remnants, but times have changed, and now this is a desirable close-in neighborhood for gentrification. Still a little sketchy post-covid, too many empty storefronts. But lots of cafes, and it is a major street.

The Montréal Jazz Festival is awesome! I attended a paid concert featuring the Django Festival All-Stars and a few free shows including Ekep Nkwelle and Oktopus Trio. All the performances were terrific. The event is very well organized, and there are plenty of food options. Although there were tons of people, it never felt crowded. If you're a music lover, this festival is worth a trip.

Only 1 recent review on TripAdvisor that I didn't see until I checked once we got inside. As interesting as the special exhibit of the Pussy Riots was (and it was very interesting), the museum was a let down from what we'd hoped to see. It didn't help that there were confusing signs at Complexes Desjardins and Place d'Arts in terms of where the contemporary museum was.

Very friendly staff! Will likely hold off visiting it again until the full renovation is complete.

A pleasant neighborhood, next to downtown, in the center area. Some historic architecture, but it seems as though this area is changing and a target for redevelopment.

Recently saw the company perform Sleeping Beauty at Places Des Arts and it was a great experience. Everything bout the performance was good, the costumes, dancing, Orchestra, and the crowd appreciated it very much. It was my first time seeing this company perform and would like to see them again.

The theater itself was fine, the seats were comfortable. The acoustics were good and the sight lines were pretty good. They ran out of playbills. The location was very convenient, and we recommend Uber. Caliber of cast was amazing!

The building is easy to miss during the day because it is not lit like during the night or like the pictures. Once you find it everything is ok from there. Customer service is very helping with questions you may have.

you can learn a lot about a City when you go to their Opera - it is a reflection of their cultural approach to an exciting yet for many difficult art form. the building of the Montreal Opera, the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, is impressive and one of a kind. An so are the people of Montreal who go there to see the shows - go and see yourself !!

This is a pretty church on the outside and inside. It seems they have given up on religion. The inside has a lot of colorful lights and the altar is used as a place to advertise. Very unique.

.Around Berri Metro, this University was created on the premise of giving access to Higher Education to Workers..I studied Law there spo I have used the Facilities abundantly. Their Library at the Pavillon Judith Jasmin is great, although since the new Bibliotheque Nationale opened next door, I go there now, to check on Mags, Movies, Books and Newspapers. UQAM has integrated an old Church Steeple in its St Denis Facade. Across it, is the old Ecole Polytechnique (now on the UdeMtl Campus). The magnificent limestone building now houses UQAM'S Business School. UQAM also has a great Coop (on Ste Catherine, 3 blocks west of St Denis) , a good place to buy a Laptop, printer..etc.,Direct access underground to the Berri Metro makes this great in Winter or Rainy Days. Several art Exhibits are usually on-going..but all in French. .

While the show was very good, the sound quality from the balcony was poor. We were at a musical (Come From Away) And had a hard time catching the dialog and jokes from up so high. We had the impression that the speakers were set for people sitting on the main floor
