Early morning sunrise experience 18 minute walk from the Sofitel Hotel up to Belvedere Kondiaronk View Point ! There are many many options to choose from but if your desire is to make a " quick strike " and experience a beautiful sunrise this hike is for you ! It requires sets of steps to get to but well worth the climb ! Sunrise on a Sunday surprisingly not crowded !

The basilica and complex are amazing and there is no charge to enter but donations are accepted. The architecture is much less ornate than the other Notre Dame Basilica but somehow the simplicity and modernity was calming and conducive to focusing on the spirituality of the basilica. The view from the terrace is also amazing. To get here, we took the Metro orange line to Snowden station, then walked along Queen Mary Road to the entry. There is a shuttle van that takes you up and down the hill. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and history of the Oratory. We highly recommend to visit here.

The Garden is huge and the different sections had been fitted with lights appropriate to the various cultures (First Nation, Chinese, Japanese, etc.) Highly recommend it because it includes access to the indoor greenhouses which were also amazing.

It was a rainy day so the museum was a great way to experience art and its collection of Canadian artwork. The Basquit exhibit was interesting and informative, especially I wasn't familiar with him. The exhibit gave me a better understanding of his art and music. The museum complex is an interconnection of old and new buildings but tied together well. Besides the artwork, the museum had nodes of spaces where you can see out to Montreal and various neighborhoods, which I thought was well thought out. Overall, we enjoyed the museum and the arts.

As you walk along the river, you will find some historic marks that explain the area and what was once here. This part of the port still serves the cruise and tourism industry. There are things to do here and some green space. Nearby are lots of cafes and restaurants. Good place on a sunny day.

Thriving 'hood with a youthful, fun vibe. Artists murals are tucked around corners, behind parking lots, dotted throughout. Small parks also dot the urban scape, as do great eating places, interesting shops, galleries, clothing stores and many cafes. This is a neighbourhood that feels human in scale, viable and vivacious.

Though not as busy as in the summer, there were still plenty of people out and about, here in the heart of old Montreal. Always a plethora of restaurants and vendors. Always a pleasure to people watch. Enjoy.

The Basilique Notre-Dame at one side and skyscrapers at the other. What a contrast, and so attractive to "feel" the atmosphere created by this blending!

Château Dufresne is so beautiful! The outside and the inside are both impressive. The self guided tour with the iPad was great and allowed us to learn about the history of each room. I suggest visiting in the morning, if you are going during the summer, since there isn’t air conditioning.

Great walking tour of old Montreal. Fran our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Time was well appointed and she gave us great recommendations for local eating places along the way. Would definitely recommend this company.
