Such a beautiful area to visit! The funicular lines were long so we walked up to the castle from here.
The small shops were excellent- try the fudge shop 🥰

It has the most magnificent beautiful pieces of sculpture I have ever seen. I could not afford anything, but a print 8"x 11" of an owl, beautiful.

Had a blast blowing my own ornament, which was carefully and timely shipped to our home. I would recommend the experience to everyone.

My family enjoyed our visit to this mall. The amusement park with ice skating rink is a great addition to the mall. The mall was clean and has a variety of stores that all can afford. Coming from the USA, it was nice to visit the Toys R Us stores since they all closed down in the states. We would definitely return.

Quartier Petit-Champlain is full of little shops. This one stands out for the tall wooden, Pinocchio-like figure outside the shop, inviting you to see the range of gifts inside, be they small ones or big ones. There was the chance to take a tour of the premises. Even if you don't buy a trinket you will be impressed by the quality of the work.

This mall is next to Cite which is next to Ste Foy. Looked like an average American mall. MANY closed stores all through all three of them - pandemic affected us all. This mall was more my vibe - sales, clearance, deals to be had. Grocery store connected which we found very interesting and I picked up souvenirs and gifts for grandkids at the Dollarama (like the dollar stores in US except things cost $3-5). We found a Walmart connected also which was also interesting - the same, but yet, different. Between the 3 malls we spent several hours entertained while it snowed outside.

Our favorite location of Simon's - nice selection of items and we usually end up purchasing something! This is the head office location. Make sure you also go upstairs.

There are 3 shopping malls all next to each other. This one is on the end, and is all high end stores. (Read: no sales or deals going on) but the mall was pretty and people are always interesting to watch.

A lot smaller than we had imagined it would be and a long way out of the centre of Quebec. Good quality food and drink from local producers. Other stalls which sold things other than food and drink were not open.

A beautiful shop with great prices! A lot of variety, I really appreciated the quality of her pieces. She is an expert with history in the business. She is multilingual, which helps. I’ll always treasure my compact, just because of her kindness and generosity. A quaint street, if you appreciate quality, she is a must-see for your travels.

We dropped in because we were in the neighborhood, and we had to see the oldest grocery, but when we were inside we were pleasantly surprised by all of the lovely offerings that made perfect gifts to take home! Jams and chocolates and beautiful prepackaged items lined the shelves.

There’s something really special about bringing a local food offering from a country. In addition, they had the most beautiful and sturdy grocery tote bags with simple sweet drawings of grocery items on the front. I could not decide between the cheese one and the pear one, so I got the cheese bag and my friend got the pear bag. I love it! It’s sturdy and large and different and a great souvenir of our trip.

My first visit to Quebec City found me in Alain's gallery where i was welcomed by Barbara and Alain. I was immediately struck by Alain's artistic style, his enthusiasm for his work and willingness to share an explanation of both his original paintings and etchings.
In my view Alain's work is outstanding. Both Alain and Barbara were a joy to meet. I resulted in purchasing two beautiful original oils which were forwarded to me in the UK in perfect condition and now grace my living room.
