Such a beautiful area to visit! The funicular lines were long so we walked up to the castle from here.
The small shops were excellent- try the fudge shop 🥰

It has the most magnificent beautiful pieces of sculpture I have ever seen. I could not afford anything, but a print 8"x 11" of an owl, beautiful.

Had a blast blowing my own ornament, which was carefully and timely shipped to our home. I would recommend the experience to everyone.

We dropped in because we were in the neighborhood, and we had to see the oldest grocery, but when we were inside we were pleasantly surprised by all of the lovely offerings that made perfect gifts to take home! Jams and chocolates and beautiful prepackaged items lined the shelves.

There’s something really special about bringing a local food offering from a country. In addition, they had the most beautiful and sturdy grocery tote bags with simple sweet drawings of grocery items on the front. I could not decide between the cheese one and the pear one, so I got the cheese bag and my friend got the pear bag. I love it! It’s sturdy and large and different and a great souvenir of our trip.

I noticed this place as I visited the nearby Notre Dame and I had to pop in to check the place, however fussy I am now about my Xmas decorations due to having hundreds of baubles purchased anywhere from Harrods UK to USA.

This place is simply gorgeous inside and as I was about to leave I noticed their varieties of choco milk powders so I got 6 varieties in the end with the most amazing flavours I have not seen anywhere around. A bit pricey, over 10 CAD but everything is a bit expensive on this part of the old town - most surely we will return as Quebec city is probably the most romantic North American city, on par with the many historic cities like Venice, Seville and the other small places scattered around Europe.

Just beside the large historical mural near Place Royale this is one of the less touristy shops selling quality goods made by local crafters. Several very nice art galleries across the street. Worth stopping in.

Huge store, filled to the brim with toys, a small section for candy, lots of legos. Perfect for finding a unique gift.

I had a great time shopping there with the help of the amazing staff, especially two young girls named Isaure and Rosemary. They helped me choose between two coats. Amazing experience!

Worth a visit. Very enjoyable to see all the old toys and candy. Cool souvenir store but a little pricy.

Every time we visit Quebec we go to this store. It is more than a jewelry store as it has so many amazing gem stones on display. Amazing Amonites and stones from around the world. Check out the Le Jade store across the square learned it is the same owner and sells Quebec jade who knew?

We'd never heard of Ketto before and just wandered in to have a look. So glad we did! Beautiful patterns and so surprised that all items are made from recycled plastic bottles. Just as I thought I'd chosen the pattern I liked the best, I'd notice another pattern and oh dear, I love this one too! Easy to buy sets of items in the same pattern. Loved what I bought for myself and my granddaughter.

That place needs 5 times the space. I wanted to browse and spend hours going through all the vintage stuff. I wanted to go in the back see what was kept hidden. I wish I lived closer to go every week.

Very friendly and beautifully decorated with lots of hand made woolens. There is some yarn for sale but this shop focuses on knitted goods, and they are beautiful. Nice hats with unique styling and lots to choose from. If you like real wool, check this out in the Petite Champlain quarter.

Located at the base of the steps to Petit Champlain and across from the Funicular, Alliage caught my eye with its hand-sewn stuffed animals in playfully quaint textiles.

Inside the store was some fine pottery, pewter earrings, cutest pet pillows, and vegan leather totes that are reversible! Other designer housewares are presented so well that it almost felt like a modern museum. In fact, their business card stated: id Quebec
    .
Prices are moderate to fair, and this will appeal to those who shy away from the typical souvenir shops that sell similar items made in other countries.

Loved the quality and softness of their boots. I fell in love with one pair, bought them and returned to buy more. My friend also bought two pairs. Amazing how comfortable they are. Should hav entries the mocassins. Looking forward to go back to Quebec and pay them a visit.
