An easily accessible impressive waterfall. Very scenic. Opportunities for great photographs. Steps for closer viewing.

This is truly a gem that everyone should visit. It is a lovely way to spend a few hours. The grounds and gardens are just gorgeous. Great place to just sit or have a picnic.

Wonderful place to walk. We hiked down and enjoyed the sunset here. Wasn't crowded at all and had a nice evening.

This was a great aquarium. It had lots to see and provided a few hours of entertainment for our family. There were a couple touch tanks that we spent lots of time at and the staff were knowledgeable/helpful and spoke well, in English. There were a couple small sharks, that my kids thought were cool

As we were driving toward the park, we wondered if we were in the right place. The drive and approach belied the park.
We followed the instruction of another reviewer and didn't park at the first parking lot - this was a genius recommendation.
Once we parked the car we walked to the left facing river which took us to the bottom of several flights of stairs up. My husband was not up to tackling the stairs so we backtracked and continued on to another part of the part that went on for miles along the river. It was a beautiful autumn day, lots of people out and about. Loved the walk...
So when facing the river walk to the left if you're an intrepid walker and to the right if you're up for more of a leisurely stroll - you can't go wrong either way.

I went there for the Mosaicultures and they did not disappoint. If you're reading this before Oct. 10, it's worth a visit. It ends on the aforementioned date. So beautiful.

The park includes the Plains of Abraham and Martello Tower 1 plus the within walking distance site of Ste-Foy, the 1760 victory that gave the French hope of retaking Quebec. The Plains of Abraham is an almost lime green green space, operated by the National Battlefields Commission. I tripped across where General Wolfe received his mortal wound. Locals were jogging or catching up with old friends on the meandering roads. Many interesting attractions border it, including the Plains of Abraham Museum, the Citadel and the Joan of Arc Garden.

We visited this site a few times as we walked around Quebec and the ice rink was often too crowded to even consider trying skating. However, one time approaching evening it was near empty. Skate hire was $9 and unlimited time. Lovely to skate around as evening fell with the backdrop of city walls.
In comparison, the outdoor skating area in the western part of the Plains of Abraham was much larger but no ambience.

This is a very nice huge popular park about 5 minutes ride by bike from the city centre. It is the place to view birds with plenty of shade and parking.

A park that is lovely to go in all seasons! You can go for a walk, for fishing, or just to hang out with your friends. Connecting with nature always soothes the soul.

This is a small but lovely botanic garden. It has an amazing peony collection, so a mid-June visit would be amazing. There are areas of old trees, underplanted with large swathes of different colours, or sometimes tiers - eg: hosta in front of solomon seal in front of a flowering shrub. It has one large area of beds with different kinds of plants, showcasing the collection. There is also rose collection and a covered walkway. There are also some sculptural plantings, eg: a large butterfly filled with growing medium and many holes, so that when planted will be butterfly covered with growth. The front of the garden has a pleasant water and rock feature and bird feeders. Today there were goldfinches, chipping sparrows, song sparrows, chickadees, cardinals, downy woodpeckers and a ruby throated hummingbird.

I really enjoyed this unique experience and it was unlike anything else I've visited before. Apparently, Mosaïcultures Québec isn't as well known as it should be, because a friend of mine who lives not far from Québec City hasn't heard of it (and she has two kids). It was great to walk around and see the beautiful flowers and the music also added a cool element to it.

I visited this beautiful beach as I was cycling to Montmorency falls. Next to it is a nice wetland with many bird species. There are toilet facilities and some food stalls. The beach is very clean and next to the bike path.

Very impressive park outside the Assembly building. We passed through this area several times during our stay coming from the Grand Allee and the Plains. Each time it was an uplift, so well designed. Beautiful city park land.
