The Morrin Centre is an amazing cultural centre. It is meant to spread the word about the history and culture of English speaking canadians. It's a sort of special library. It has vast amounts of information and it really opens visitors' minds into Canada's history and culture.

This is a hidden gem which we discovered through our reading of Louise Penny's mystery novels. The guides offered an excellent tour in English (French tours are of course available) and we were able to find out about the history of the site as a prison and then a University. It's well worth a visit!

What a beautiful place with a lovely collection. I especially enjoyed the fanzine Collection. My French is not excellent, and so I was able to find a few books, mostly middle grade reader books, that I could easily translate in this beautiful building. What a sweet way to spend a morning “between the stacks”.
