Gorgeous cathedral and free to access (unlike Notre Dame in Montreal where there is an entry fee of 18 CAD) with the lines you normally find in more northern European cathedrals as opposed of the Portuguese or some Spanish cathedrals for example.

I liked it's simplicity with only some golden adornments around the altar area besides the usual stained glass typically found here.

Quiet, despite being located in the busy part of the old Quebec town and just beautiful.

The Parliament in Quebec was built in the second half of the 19th century in the architectural style of the Second Empire. The Louvre in Paris was the inspiration for its design. It is an amazing building. It's quite beautiful both inside as well as outside. After going through a brief security check by some very friendly staff we were free to walk around in most areas of the building and enjoyed our time there.

Musée de la civilisation de Québec is a “living museum”. It is unlike other museums in that it explores the human condition. It looks at how the body works and how society works. It looks at the history of Quebec and the wider world. You see exhibits about how society has made various advances. There are exhibits about how, for example garbage can be used to actually create new things, how wine bottles and plastic bags can be recycled into pavers! And there is so much more to see. Even the design of the building is quite interesting.

The Morrin Centre is an amazing cultural centre. It is meant to spread the word about the history and culture of English speaking canadians. It's a sort of special library. It has vast amounts of information and it really opens visitors' minds into Canada's history and culture.

Walk down to lower town, but take the funicular back to upper town, not only to save your legs, but for the views! It's worth every cent!

Notre-Dame-des-Victoires is a small Roman Catholic Church located in Place Royale, in Old Quebec. This church was built in late 17th century and is considered the oldest in North America.

The monastery is beautiful in itself but the history of the place and the work of the nuns is fantastic. Do not miss going to the museum at the monastery.

This place has delicious hand crafted chocolate like cappuccino, Montezuma (a blend of spices), and raspberry. They also make a wonderful dark hot chocolate. I enjoyed the small but informative museum with interactive exhibits. The dress and bag made of chocolate was cool.

Gorgeous cathedral not far from Notre Dame and free to access, just like all the cathedrals in this area, all located in a busy part of the town, bustling with tourists and business alike.

Beautiful, simple lines with the altar in front and the organ right above the entrance. Not many people accessing it during the week or maybe it was the late September day we visited it.

    Just stunning.

Gare du Palais looks like a chateau, but it is only a Train and Bus station. Its architecture is similar to the beautiful Hotel Frontenac. The train station, built in 1915, owes its name Gare du Palais to the fact it's located near the site of a former palace. It is beautifully decorated and is a pleasure being inside. As it's a rather small station it is very easy to find your way around.

I absolutely loved the experience at Immersion Quebec. It really gives you an overview of how the city was built and the French influence that brought the architecture to the town. The VR animation was really nice too. Staff was friendly, the room itself is like a cave so it gives you a different (nice!) vibe to the experience.

Have been wanting to visit this for many years but we were always in Quebec City in the winter when it it closed. We finally were able to visit in the summer. Joined an English tour. Used our National Park Discovery park pass so everything was included as part of our pass. Very informative and interesting tour to hear the evolution of the chateau. Guided tour is an hour and would recommend the tour over the audio tour.

Massive place we reached on a very warm September day as we came all the way from the Dufferin terrace, which was at the back of the Citadel (good to know if you want to go straight to the entrance of this place).

The Citadel is packed with history and it reminds me of so many fortified European cities all the way from the Atlantic ocean to the eastern part of the Med.

Lots of info around and inside the place, entrance of around 15 CAD (if I remember correctly), souvenir shop, toilets etc
