This is a must for anyone who has an interest in history of old prisons. The tour was really interesting and entertaining. Also learned some interesting information about Morris College and early women at the school. Highly recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. Take the self-guided tour. We learned so much about the nuns and the school that they ran so long ago.

The monastery is beautiful in itself but the history of the place and the work of the nuns is fantastic. Do not miss going to the museum at the monastery.

As we were driving toward the park, we wondered if we were in the right place. The drive and approach belied the park.
We followed the instruction of another reviewer and didn't park at the first parking lot - this was a genius recommendation.
Once we parked the car we walked to the left facing river which took us to the bottom of several flights of stairs up. My husband was not up to tackling the stairs so we backtracked and continued on to another part of the part that went on for miles along the river. It was a beautiful autumn day, lots of people out and about. Loved the walk...
So when facing the river walk to the left if you're an intrepid walker and to the right if you're up for more of a leisurely stroll - you can't go wrong either way.

Have been wanting to visit this for many years but we were always in Quebec City in the winter when it it closed. We finally were able to visit in the summer. Joined an English tour. Used our National Park Discovery park pass so everything was included as part of our pass. Very informative and interesting tour to hear the evolution of the chateau. Guided tour is an hour and would recommend the tour over the audio tour.

First of all, I want to give a shout out to my amazing tour guide Aliénor (I hope I got your name right!) I was the only person to show up on a Tuesday morning at 10am so I got a private tour of the governor’s residence. Aliénor is incredibly knowledgeable about Canadian politics as well as the intricacies of the residence (its history, past governors, artwork, furniture, purposes of each room - functional and design). I learned so much about the current Governor and her responsibilities, the relationship between the Governor and other members of Parliament and much much more. It was a very cool tour AND free! Try to get a tour with Aliénor (she’s bilingual French and English). Leave a tip if you can :)

This is a very nice huge popular park about 5 minutes ride by bike from the city centre. It is the place to view birds with plenty of shade and parking.

Stopped in while site seeing in Quebec City. What a wonderful surprise. We bought a butterfly, a couple of snowmen, and a paraffin candle, all blown glass. I could have spent more time and money and would love to visit again. Staff was very friendly and did well to wrap everything, even asking if we were flying home. It appears you can also blow your own glass ornament at certain times, something we didn't do.

Best facial I’ve gotten to date. Was guided to choose the best treatment for my skin and the technician went above and beyond. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful place with a lovely collection. I especially enjoyed the fanzine Collection. My French is not excellent, and so I was able to find a few books, mostly middle grade reader books, that I could easily translate in this beautiful building. What a sweet way to spend a morning “between the stacks”.

Wonderful nordic spa experience, for only $55! We went to a spa like this in California- which was three times the price. Siberia was more beautiful and better appointed. The steam, infrared and dry saunas were perfect- cold plunges were cold, but not too cold and the yurt, multiple swings and fire pits abounded. It was wonderfully relaxing and refreshing all at the same time. Loved it. It was the best part of our trip to Quebec.

I’m a history teacher and teach Canada’s involvement in WWI and WWII so I love visiting naval museums. This one was good. The object were interesting and was great to see some German objects as well. Even found some object relating to my own Grandfather who served on the Prince Robert! My only critique is your map outside the museum. I believe you have an error. Please see attached photo.
Otherwise this is a terrific little museum!

We dropped in because we were in the neighborhood, and we had to see the oldest grocery, but when we were inside we were pleasantly surprised by all of the lovely offerings that made perfect gifts to take home! Jams and chocolates and beautiful prepackaged items lined the shelves.

There’s something really special about bringing a local food offering from a country. In addition, they had the most beautiful and sturdy grocery tote bags with simple sweet drawings of grocery items on the front. I could not decide between the cheese one and the pear one, so I got the cheese bag and my friend got the pear bag. I love it! It’s sturdy and large and different and a great souvenir of our trip.
