My wife and I canoed the Yukon River with MukTuk Adventures back in late August- early September. This time, I returned with a long-time friend for dogsledding. We did the week-long lodge-based dog musher rookie camp. I can honestly say it was another great wilderness experience. We learned how to: put booties on the dogs, harness the dogs and attach them to the G-line. We took our teams out on four days and sledded along the Yukon River and up to Kokanee Lake. In my view, running sled dogs is a transcendent experience. I'm so very glad I had MukTuk provided me that opportunity. Our last day of camp was a non-sledding day. We went to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve where Manuela took us on a tour of the facility. She then handed us off to Geoff, who took us to the local hot springs where we soaked some tired and sore muscles. Geoff and Manuela were once again wonderful hosts and a delight to be around. The food was great as always. I know of no cheesecake equal to Manuela's. I plan to return and canoe the remaining portion of the Yukon River. Geof and Manuela, again, you two could not have done better! Brian

I have to start with Larkin (I really hope I spelt her name right) is an absolute champion!!. Views on the Yukon River were stunning and well worth the trip. We did Whitehorse to Shallow Bay... well at least almost to Shallow Bay. Turns out the bay is not the only part that was shallow today. River and Lake Laberge happened to be very low at the end and we had to get rescued from another location. She was an absolute trooper and helped us carry the canoe and kayak up an unexpected long road with a locked gate at the end of it. So you can rest assured that when things go sideways (as they have for us quite often in our Yukon trip) you are in such great hands to help you out again. Thank you so much for a great experience and a fabulous rescue.

Fabulous. 3 guides with 3 rafts spoiled 12 guests for 10 days. The guide team of Leon, Justin and Jeremy was congenial, knowledgeable, fun, professional, skilled on the river and skilled in the outdoor kitchen. We ate fabulous menus with lots of fresh vegetables and fruit. They even baked 2 cakes for us. The terrain is mind blowing - glaciers, alpine meadows, rock strewn mud flats, mountains, mountains and more mountains. Saw a lot of animal tracks. Watched a grizzly climb a rock cliff. Two nights slept to the booms of glaciers calving. This is a camping (not clamping) experience. You pitch your own tent. You sleep on the ground. All the camping gear is provided. All was in excellent condition. Worth every penny

We did the ten day Tatshenshini/Alsek raft. We have done a lot of rafting, and this was an amazing experience, with world class scenery, fun rafting and awesome guides. Thank you Max, Andrew, Peter and Aline for your expertise, enthusiasm and culinary skills. You helped make this a trip of a lifetime. The extraordinary good weather helped, but the key was the enthusiasm and skill of our guides

Another fabulous tour from Ross River to Pelly Crossing.
Highlight along the river was taking turns in spotting wildlife like: pikes, salmon, blackbear, eagle, wolf, porcupine, moose…
Our tour guide Rainer's skilful leadership was proved once again in the drive, knowledge and friendliness with which he approached the tasks in hand and his tour members.
During our tour through the wildernis we were provided with a varied range of foods, to the delight of the group, clearly a standard typical of Adventure Tours. Excellent equipment and punctual transfers round up the service. Rainer's sensitive awareness for the needs of the group supported a convivial atmosphere and team spirit.
On the backdrop of the unparalleled beauty of the Yukon Territory this trip served to bring out good vibes in everyone.
    Thank you Rainer.

I completed a guided canoe trip with Ruby Range Adventure Ltd. this July (2023) which saw us paddle from Whitehorse to Dawson City. It was named Yukon River - The Classic...and it was indeed a classic trip! We travelled 730 km over 16 days and then celebrated in beautiful and historic Dawson City before driving back to Whitehorse. The memories will last forever and I loved every minute of it all. I was a solo guest who joined others from Canada, The USA, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and England; our group totaled 14. Our Guides Felix and (later on) Daniel were awesome cooks, knowledgeable, fun, confidence-inspiring, outstanding outdoorsmen, and all-around great! The paddling, the scenery, the wildlife, the co-operative weather, the food, the group dynamics (wing-wow...wing-wow), the laughs, the drifting, the late night and early morning paddles, the incredible feelings of accomplishment and pride as we paddled into Dawson City...I could go on and on. If you are considering this trip then please please do it already!
If my friends want to go next year I'd do it again.

My partner and I rode with Terra Riders on Grey Mountain and Mt. McIntyre in Whitehorse and then Mountain Hero on Montana Mountain in Carcross the week of August 15th. We really appreciated how knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful Dan and his team were on our rides. We got to see some of the best riding in Whitehorse and Carcross because of Terra Riders. We would highly recommend them to anyone considering mountain biking in the Yukon. They are great!

A group of 5 Finnish guys flew from Helsinki to Whitehorse where we met up with our Canadian buddy from Toronto. From the moment we landed till we left, we were taken care of by Bernard and Amanda. The hospitality was amazing. It felt much more like dealing with friends then doing business with a stranger.

We spent 6 nights at lake Coughlan. The fishing is absolutely perfect as is the whole setup. The cabin had everything we needed and more. For us Finns there was a sauna and the possiblity to swim in the 5C lake :) There was a lot of wildlife and possibilities to hike or canoe. Bernard gave us just enough tips to get us going but not too much so that we had the chance to learn on our own.

The best part of the week was that my phone was mainly turned off the whole week. I didn't even have a watch. The only reason to follow time was to make sure you are on the lake when the sun sets because thats when the best fishing was done..

I took a lot of pleasure with my 3 teenage kids going on a 5 days canoeing trip on the Yukon river from Lake Laberge to Little Salmon by the end of August 2019.
The trip was perfectly organized (a must when going in the wild outdoor) and yet we had the complete feeling of freedom that one can enjoy in such a nature landscape. Andrea knows how to guide the group so that we could all move safely and enjoy each and every moment. We even took a chance pike fishing, saw salmons going upstream...
Besides being an experienced guide, Andrea is a passionate nature lover, sharing and explaining, and there is a lot on the Yukon.
I warmly recommend going on a trip with Andrea.

My daughter Jaime and I spent an incredible day with Steve Hahn, fly fishing guide, story teller and all around great person. We loaded up his boat with gear, lunch, cameras and enthusiasm and we headed out on the Kathleen River. We were blessed with good weather, but it really wouldn't have mattered. It was the entire experience that was brilliant. We caught fish - rainbow, steelies and I think J got a grayling - and that was outstanding. But Steve provides more than just fishing. He shared stories of the geologic history of the river and the environment around it. We saw eagles, kingfishers, and mergansers galore. And a lunch spread with HOT COFFEE that was to die for!

If you want the best in guiding, with someone who provides an experience, not just a fishing trip, book a trip with Steve.

I called Dean in the morning and he was able to squeeze me in to take me to the hot springs from Whitehorse in the evening. Not sure how much a taxi would be but appreciated the a bit of chat about local history and wildlife so well worth it.
Picked me up directed from hotel and took me at pre arranged time. Nice hot car while -34 degrees outside.

Ken picked us up at our Hotel and with 2 other ladies from Toronto Canada we spent the morning on the river. Fun morning and Ken is a wealth of information about the Yukon and the river. A must experience when staying in Whitehorse.
