- Voyager55928334618Saanichton, Canada13 contributionsThis morning my husband and my friend and I took the 11am bus tour of the wildlife preserve with Doug. The tour ran a bit long because we ended up getting Doug talking at many of the stops, his years of experience really shines through when he talks about all different aspects of life for the animals within the preserve. I mentioned that I really wanted to get some good photos of the Lynx and he made sure we did before we left that area - it was much appreciated! We visited in October so there was snow on the ground but it didn't make it any less enjoyable. $30 for a 90 minute bus tour is an amazing price, and since we went for the first tour of the day it ended up just being us! This was awesome and I shared all of my photos with my family and friends. This is a MUST see for sure for anyone who likes to see wildlife outside of a zoo setting. I'm not a zoo person, but this wildlife preserve/rehab centre non-profit was an amazing visit and I'm glad we made the trip!Written October 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You can view right from the bottom of the creek to high up on the cliff. Once you turn left on Fish Lake road drive about 2km up the road and on your left there is an out croft you can park at. The views are amazing. If your lucky you will be above the eagles as they are hunting in the creek. Just be careful as the cliffs are steep off the edge. There are many areas to explore here. Great for picnics for sure.. Enjoy your day!Written June 9, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
