The walk around the lake is very nice, it gets very crowded when the light display is running around Christmas

Great trail around the lake to do a rosary and divine mercy chaplet. Three turns around the lake fit both of them perfectly.

There is a sign at the park entrance reminding everyone what to do if they encounter a bear.
I both wanted to see a bear and was a bit worried, so I walked cautiously the whole way.
In the end, I only saw two piles of bear poop...

I hiked the main loop, 8.6 km, which took a total of 2 hours and 20 minutes.
The overall difficulty was moderate, with a low elevation gain of only 303 meters.
The view from the top was nice and refreshing, with a few people picnicking on the summit.

The Crunch is well maintained and the stair section is a good work out. I think the rest of the walk to the very top is ok, but the best workout is the stairs. It's a great way to start the day and not too busy first thing in the morning.

Recently attended Music on the Grill. Barbecue overlooking LaFarge Lake, followed by musical performance. Lovely evening. Food and entertainment first class. The centre is conveniently located close by the LaFarge - Douglas Skytrain Station. The tickets to any of their plays, musical performances, etc. are very reasonably priced.

Having lived in PoCo for years before I was surprised and delighted to learn that this was only minutes away from dt!
The path access almost hidden in the bushes. Residential street parking.
Wide easy paths. If you’re taking a stroller I would recommend going days after the last rain and it’s dense so moisture lingers in wide path covering puddles.
There are bears in the area and after a rainfall you’ll easily see their footprints!
Be mindful of where you are 🐻

I was there early in the morning (before 8) and only saw a handful of people.
The falls are about 30-45mins in depending on how fast you walk.
If the run off is low enough you can cross the falls river and go to the other side where the path continues and takes you to another waterfall!

This is a nice large park with lots of parking and picnic areas. There are several covered picnic tables for reserving for larger groups, a kids swimming pool and play area.

This is a public place if you want Indoor Swimming, Ice Hockey, Fitness Gym, Steam Room, Sauna, and a restaurant. The rates are very reasonable and parking is free and always available. There are lessons for Swimming and there are lifeguards who are always ready to help. Across the street are 2 outdoor tennis courts and outdoor tennis courts so, drop by and enjoy.
