Osoyoos, and Osoyoos Lake, were the #2 "Things-to-See" on our recent mainland BC road trip, and BOTH sites did not disappoint us!
A really lovely town, very clean, with a great tourist vibe. And Osoyoos Lake, especially from top of the hill, is just breaktaking. Well done Osoyoos! Cheers, Paul

Incredible view of the lower Okanagan Valley and beyond. The parking area isn't very large or wide since there isn't much space for the highway itself. It's terrific for a quick stop and a couple of photos. You can see why the Osoyoos area is so popular to visit.

We had a great trip to the desert centre. The staff were welcoming, friendly and knowledgable. We learned so much. The tour given by Larissa was brilliant. She did a wonderful job of educating us about all the areas on the boardwalk trail. She brought the area to life and her enthusiasm for its ecology was infectious. The centre has great displays about the local flora and fauna and the boardwalk is truly marvellous. They even had umbrellas to borrow if you wanted shade from the sun on your walk. A great place to take anyone of any age. Highly recommend!

Spotted lake is exactly as you see it in the pictures! It is closed off, but you can definitely see it from the road. There is a small area where 2-3 cars can park.

love the picnic area with flush bathrooms and everything clean. Even if windy and cold you can go down by the water on thenorth side and be protected from the wind where it is calm and nice for walking. we want to camp next time on the point which would be brutal if windy but lots of sheltored spots too

Drove to this trail - about 40 minutes on a bumpy washboard road but very manageable.
We did the 3km loop (Chopaka Lookout Loop) and highly recommend. It took us about an hour to complete and we loved the views throughout. There were areas that were very easy and flat and others with a good climb but it was doable. Well worth the trip. The trail was well marked as well. A definite highlight of our trip!

Not warm waters, but it is October. The beach is rocky and difficult to walk barefoot. Views are the best.

Very nice pathway that is well taken care of. Very nice views. Easy to access. Not a difficult pathway so good for all fitness levels.

It's another place to visit; history and wildlife abound from turtles to eagles. The pioneer buildings make good photos, and with luck, the bighorn might make an appearance.

I am not sure if this is the same trail as the Mount Kruger Loop. You start the 24K loop down on 2nd avenue literally right along the US border. the first 2-3 Km's are quite dusty as it is an old service road and has about 2 inches of fine dust all over it. Once you get up (healthy climb) on the trail the views are great. We left a little late, so it was hot (100+) day. We did an out and back. Once on the main trail to the top, the 2nd time before you hit the park border we took an old service road to the left. That took us to the US border fence. We followed that up and along the border for about 5 - 8 Km. Good hike, basically an animal trail. Good view of the US side and the current wildfire just south of Oroville. Take lots of water and leave by 8am if you are going in the summer.

I've been here several times, mainly for gas or an oil purchase.

Equipment to rent doesn't look to be in the best shape, a lot of issues with there training of boat renters. Quite often the renter has no clue what they are doing but yet they get there one day boat pass.

Gas service very hit and miss, of course the price is high for the convenience of filling up at the Lake. It was 20 cents more per litre on my last fill up there. If you have a large boat you are best to take it out of the water and fill it at the Shell where they will sell you premium marked gas at the mid grade price.

I've been here on occasion where they refuse gas service due to staffing, closed early as they have no rentals out on the Lake or just plain lazy watching you pump the gas and no offer of assistance to help with people parking there boats.

This place could be run so much better!

This trail would be better with some signage. I am comfortable exploring unmarked paths, but not many are. Beautiful views of the lake and valley made it worth exploring.
