Lovely, historic, city park. No encampments as of April ‘24, disregard any posts saying so. Although perhaps not a destination in and of itself, if you’re in K-W, a worthy place to go for a stroll or let the kids play.

We were visitng Doon village and we realized that this museum is the entry point for Doon Heritage village. Nice museum with instillations from indigenous people. There is activity centre for kids and washrooms on site. Visit was informative.

Doon Heritage Village is a fascinating destination that offers visitors a chance to explore the rich history and culture of
the region. It has a lot of Exhibits, Artifacts and Outdoor Heritage and Display Buildings you will be delighted with! It was
a great pleasure to walk through these buildings and feel the mood of those distant times.

Also some of these historical buildings as well as the red covered bridge were used in the filming of the the original Anne
of Green Gables movies (1985) and it was a great fun to see these surroundings in real life!

The staff of the museum is AMAZING, especially Jocelyn, so friendly and helpful and did their best to ensure we had an unforgettable visit!

I highly recommend visiting this place!

good walking trail with wildlife surrounding. The markers are easy to follow. Lots of friendly people walking with dogs and family. It would be nice if they pick up their dog poo.

We showed up at the house and asked for a tour. There was already one taking place so she had us join them. I didn’t realize that this house was built from a Mennonite family so it was quite a bit different than the usual houses we visit. The guide was very knowledgeable and took us to the out buildings as well. They have a children’s area and had summer groups taking place when we were there so it got quite loud and distracting but overall it was good.

We visited on a Monday at 10:10am. They open at 10:00. It was empty. We paid $16.99 for seniors, which is 55 and up. She asked to see ID. There’s 4 floors and washrooms on each floor. This place is great for parents with kids. There isn’t much to do for adults. We did the virtual short movie- 9 minutes on the jungle meets the water. There’s 4 movies and some are 13 minutes long. You could spend close to an hour here if you watch all 4 movies. It’s not suitable for people who have vertigo because you can get dizzy. I also liked the immersive room. Kids will really like this room. The gift shop was closed at 11:00 and the employee said to give it another 20 minutes till opening. We did not see the dinosaur or some of the other stuff posted on their website. But I read that they change their exhibits from time to time. There also is no place to get something to eat. There was an area that said lounge with lots of chairs but that was closed. The place has elevators and is wheel chair accessible. There is parking connected to the museum and we paid $7 for 2 hours. We arrived an hour before the museum opened and were shocked to see a lot of homeless people walking around or in groups in front of some stores. And you could clearly some were high on drugs. Very sad. We didn’t feel safe to walk around. So we went into a coffee shop across from the museum. Later we saw a few police cars and some of the people seemed to move to another area. But this museum is worth the visit and we’re glad we did.

Ok, it only has 11 runs and they're short but the cost is low, the chalet is pretty nice, the layout is great, there's plenty of parking, lineups are not bad, they have night skiing and it's close... For a fun day of skiing it's terrific.

A Normanesque style Church, large interior, unobstructed view of the main altar. The original altar still remains & is a work of art! All wood, hand carved. Well worth the visit for whatever reason!

The Kitchener Waterloo Symphony Orchestra is a jewel. Each concert is polished, and exciting, especially in the Raffi Armenian Theatre at the Center in the Square, which was custom built by and for the orchestra.

People of all ages can enjoy this open park, something for everyone. Playground, splash pads, parking and open air greenery. Few trees, none of them mature enough to offer any shade.

Tradition and memories and new experiences await you here. The outdoor village offers many little huts selling lots of food- elephant ears, apple fritters, pastries, pretzels,
bratwurst and Gluhwein!🍷Between the huts small Christmas trees and little reindeer add to this German themed experience. Indoors, two floors of vendors offer everything from soup to nuts, soaps, chocolates, wooden toys, stained glass, jewellery European themed gifts and decorations and a model railway. If you time it right, you can partake or enjoy entertainment, demonstrations, a live nativity scene, and activities for kids. This event can become your tradition to be enjoyed year after year.
