- JC508 contributionsYou don't know where you'll go with these trips, they are transportng packages to remote communties with no road links. We went to a smal community on the mainland, the plane was half filled with boxes of provisions for them, plus a few people either returning home or going to stay there, and two tourists! It was really interesting to talk to these people and hear about their lives, plus a visit to a remote place not many people go to. We got an insight into life somewhere with terrain that greatly hinders land travel, so people have boats or fly on small planes. Fascinating. - Susana B1 contributionThis was a great way to save time lining up for and riding 2 ferries to cross to Cortes Island. It was a fun fast ride in a small boat, very economical if you book the same ride with about 6-8 other people. We organized this beforehand by calling the Discovery Launch and with the help of communal travel postings. I left my car in Campbell River. It is important to leave enough time before departure to get a Discovery Launch parking pass from the office, park, and locate the appropriate departure dock. Dan and Tom are amazing to go out with, super knowledgeable, kind and fun!
