My wife and I did the short hike from the parking lot to the suspension bridge. It was a fairly simple hike. We then went to the rocks close to the river. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that rocks were so uneven, and I fell and scrapped my knee and elbow.
Tom at the information center had a first aid kit, and I was able to disinfect and bind my wounds.

It was the last tour for this year and we still saw humpback whales! Robin our guide was great, providing us with much information and giving us lots of time to observe the beautiful animals by keeping a respectful distance. I like that they are also involved in offsetting their footprint by preserving old growth forest.

Warm welcoming and informative. I enjoyed all aspects of my visit especially the stories. They made sure we saw some awesome grizzlies and marine mammals. I learned some interesting things about these animals. I hope to visit with them again

If you're a fly fisherman looking for a guide on Vancouver Island, stop here. Never in my life have I felt strongly enough to leave a review online for something until I had a day out on the river with Justin from Coastal Wilderness Adventures.

My wife and I spent a day out with Justin in the fall and had an unreal time. He was very patient and instructive with a couple of novices at the game of salmon fishing and was also able to get us into some huge fish (and fulfill a long-held wish of mine to do it on the fly, no less). I'll say it again, if you're a fly fisherman or even just someone who prefers to fish rivers with a spinning rod - stop looking, Justin is your guy. I can't wait to come back.

We recently went on a grizzly bear excursion with Eagle Eye Adventures. Andreas was our captain, he was very friendly and had an excellent knowledge of the area. Unfortunately we didn’t see any bears. According to the local guide on the Toba river this could be a result of them fattening up on berries this year and the salmon numbers drying up. He also said it was probably a little too late in the year, I wish we’d have known this before. I’m not sure if Eagle Eye Adventures were aware of this, I’m sure they would’ve been. Our captain said he was a little surprised to be doing a trip that day as well. Maybe they were just trying to get a few more customers out of the season. To be fair the owner gave everyone a rain ticket on our return for a free trip anytime in the future. This is ok if you live nearby or holiday there regularly. When you live nearly 5,000 miles away it’s a little different. I’ve given it a 5 star review for the boat journey and stunning scenery. I know it’s nature and accept that they can’t guarantee sightings. The packed lunch was just the job and plenty of nice warm drinks. I would like to thank the lovely young lady in the office. She could see how disappointed everyone was on our return and recommended us to go tho the local salmon hatchery. Well we went the next day and saw 4 black bears, not grizzly bears I know but a wonderful alternative. I’m sure at the right time of year this trip would be a wonderful experience. Hopefully we’ll be able to come back sometime for another chance.

We were very happy with our tour, we selected the 4 hour afternoon whale watching and the company was helpful throughout the whole process. From booking, to arrival and set up, to the cruise, and debriefing after on what we saw and where it was top notch. Our captain was well informed and fun, and we got super lucky seeing so many whales jump!

My daughter (23) and I had an incredible boat tour today with Garry. We were unbelievably fortunate to see Orcas, Humpback whales, sea lions, seals, birds, beautiful scenery, atmospheric weather views and a double rainbow finale!
Garry was extremely knowledgable and a great host and guide - keeping respectful distances from the animals and allowing lovely periods with the engines off to allow many special moments with the sounds and smells of nature and these beautiful creatures.
A truly memorable experience, thank you Garry for going over and above today.

Good solid and fast boat. Possible to sit and stand in the open air or in the covered cabin. The guide alias captain alias boatsman and host, Josh, is a very nice and knowledgeable guy. The responses and instructions of this company when booking, are fast and clear.
Further, the weather was wonderful and the whales could almost be touched.
    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great trip. Thrilling to be zooming just over each mountain peak and come around the corner to incredible views of the valleys and lakes. We had originally planned on cruising over to Desolation Sound, but clouds were low so we switched out to the Comox glacier route. Stunning views. Pilot and staff at the centre were great. Highly recommend.

Awesome! Rick has been our fishing guide for many years. Each year we have a great time and learn something new. Rick knows the area well and where to find the fish and crustaceans. Highly recommend Rick. He is really terrific.

Been on plenty of charters over the years and this was certainly one of the best. Professional, knowledgeable and personable guide, beautiful clean boat, and amazing scenery. Oh, and top-notch tackle too! Our party of 4 headed out later in Sept when the bite was apparently starting to wane but Chris put us onto the fish! Pretty much limited out on chinook and wild coho. Highly recommend!

We (four of us) went on a guided fishing trip with Brant. This is our second trip with him. He is an outstanding guide. He truly cares about his clients and gives them the best fishing experience! In our case, I recently had knee surgery. Brant ensured that I was well taken care of in the boat and was able to land my fish. Our group caught and kept 26 fish over two days, and actually released at least a dozen wild cohos too. On our second day, after catching our limit of chinooks, we were able to see orcas and humpback whales, dolphins, and sea lions close up. Amazing! Brant seems to know where the fish are and is very knowledgeable of the fishing regulations. If you’re looking for a great fishing experience in Campbell River – look no further than Brant – he’s awesome!

We’ve been fishing with Laurel for the past couple of years, and every trip has been the best! Laurel is an outstanding guide—extremely knowledgeable, efficient, and extremely dedicated to ensuring his clients have the best possible experience. He takes excellent care of his boat and gear, making sure everything is in top shape. You can tell he truly cares about both his clients and the fishing experience. He’s passionate and honest, and does everything he can to put you on the fish. My dad and I will definitely keep coming back, we highly recommend Laurel for an unforgettable fishing trip in Campbell River! The tug is the drug!
