- Martin HSooke, Canada28 contributionsThe boat was surprisingly smooth and quiet. Had a briefing at the dock, fitted out with immersion suits, toasty warm, bring wooly hat and gloves because it can get pretty chilly on the water in October.
We saw all kinds of wildlife. For a while we were completely surrounded by humpbacks feeding, never knew that they were so huge and so graceful. Seals, sea lions, eagles, the whole trip was truly magical. My visiting family were completely awe struck.
Skipper Mike did a great job. The ride felt safe and comfortable, the kids actually fell asleep for a while after all that fresh air and excitement.

Decades of experience, a great boat and tons of stories.

- James S1 contributionTory was an excellent host/captain/guide. He's smart about fishing and very good with all ages of people. we spent 4 delightful hours and came away with our limit. We live in Victoria, and have experienced several fishing charters - Tory was the best. - Corrie B11 contributionsThis was by far my best chartered fishing trip . Roy is an amazing captain with a great sense of humour. We are looking a booking again in April. We had maxed out our catch for both days in a matter of 4 hours . - OceanloverBCVancouver, Canada158 contributionsThis company takes the welfare of the whales seriously (which is appreciated) and they provided an enjoyable experience with education about the whales, otters, seals and sea lions. We saw them all. We all wore (mandatory) flotation suits.
People who have mobility issues might find getting in and out of the zodiac to be a bit of a challenge. Allen was always very friendly and helpful to deal with, and went the extra mile to ensure we had the right sized bikes for the group. He kindly delivered and picked up the bikes to our Sooke address. The group were very happy with their bikes ( mix of e-bikes and normal bikes) and enjoyed a great day out on the Galloping Goose. - andrea m1 contributionWe had a wonderful day on the Bikes. Simon's set up is very professional. The bikes are a very high quality, and extremely easy to ride, almost effortless and very well maintained. Simon explained clearly how to use the bikes and gave lots of information about the trail and he is also on hand incase there are any problem while on the trail, there are section where he can come and help if needed. The trial is very beautiful, particularly on the 20k near Sooke. It's flat and easy to ride. The whole day was great and Simon was very helpful both on the day and on the lead up, with a quick response and answering all of our questions. We landed our fish with regularity and caught a tone of them in the two days we went with him. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! - Coby D1 contributionWe went out fishing for Chinook salmon with Mike in August of 2024. Very nice boat and plenty of room for our group of four + a baby. Mike works hard and knows what he's doing. Was able to teach us how to fish these waters and for these fish. Overall, we had a great time, we caught our limit, and we wouldn't hesitate to go back out with him again. - AmyDBlauchNaples Park, FL8 contributionsWe had a great time with Drea during our trip to Port Renfrew. It was a beautiful, sunny day and she took us on quite the adventure in her magical van! She is very personable, knowledgeable about the area and great with children. We saw some awesome old growth trees and had a very tasty lunch. We would not have seen half of what we did if we had tried to navigate this on our own. All of us had a great time, Luke was very easy to get along with and made us feel welcome and at home, and on top of it all, we caught fish!!
