Great visit to Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg. Booking and communication with the tour provider was seamless. Was a nice size group and comfortable transportation. Our guide, Reg, was extremely knowledgeable and provided wonderful history and commentary on our trip. We had plenty of time to walk and explore both of the stops on the tour. I would highly recommend this experience.

Scotia Curry in Lunenburg is a must go to if you love good Indian food. The service is fast and friendly and the food is consistently wonderful. The chicken tikka starter is perfect and their naan bread is very more-ish. We have been going regularly since they opened this location in August and it is always fantastic. Try the lamb korma. The kormas sauce is literally dreamy. Enjoy.

Peggys cove was a beautiful drive to get to. We did a tour with our Cruise ship, RC. You could easily do this with another group, just watch your time. The area was very cute- don't miss the little shops on the island. We got some great local art!

This had to be one of the best excursions we’ve ever had. As any excursion goes you never know what to expect and usually you cross your fingers hoping that’ll be good.
Paul was amazing, from the moment I booked the excursion until the moment he dropped us off back at the port. Paul was early to pick us up which gave us the advantage of being early at Peggy’s cove. His mission was to get us there before all the other tour buses and that he did given us the opportunity to enjoy it without crowds. Paul also took the scenic route instead of the highway so that we had the chance to admire the beautiful scenery, slowing down for us to be able to take pictures and stopping at small places that were interesting like a lobster place where we received a lesson on the different types of lobsters very interesting 😊 Paul drove us around Lunenburg pointing out so many interesting details. Overall it was a great experience Paul was definitely a 10 out 10 highly recommended.

Bruce gave my wife & I a fantastic personalized tour of historic Lunenburg, as well as central Halifax & the areas surrounding our travels. He was waiting for us at the pick-up point ahead of time, which meant we had bonus extra touring time. He gave us a full pre-departure briefing using a detailed map which set the scene for our tour & gave us a good idea of what to expect.

He had a store-house of information & kept the narration coming. He gave us regular stops for refreshment & restroom stops & impromptu stops including some shopping.

He tailored our trip to our interests, mainly photography, history & general interests. He had an in-depth knowledge of many aspects, particularly in historic Lunenburg & points of view that may be unlikely covered by others. We had a very nice lunch in Lunenburg right where he dropped us off for this.

Our selected 6 1/2hour tour effectively & efficiently used our time allowed by the cruise ship movements & he made sure we were comfortably returned in time.

We have no hesitation in recommending Bruce for a tour of Lunenburg & the Halifax Nova Scotia area generally - do yourself a favour! He gives really outstanding value for money & is such a personable driver & guide. I took over 200 photos of this tour which is many more than average & look forward to processing them from RAW format.

Thor was an excellent guide. Chatty, knowlegeable and engaging. Would recommend this guide.
A bit late picking us up - we didn't realise that this was not a private tour so he had a couple of pickups to do before he got to our hotel. Not a big problem - just unexpected. Good journey with plenty of stops and interest.
We had the lobster roll. It was very good. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't expecting us (6 of us) and so 4 of our party left to find food elsewhere. Slight problem re paying the bill - I had expected Thor to come to the restaurant after parking the car but we had to phone him.
Plenty of time to explore Lunenburg. Walked up to the academy, visited the museum and Blue Nose 2. It was VERY hot that day. Treated ourselves to an icecream!
I would have given 5 stars except for the mess up at the restaurant.

We got lucky with this one!
Nancy was very knowledgeable when it comes to the history of the area, and took us to picturesque places that we did not expect. We would never find or even stop at the places she took us by ourselves.
Well worth 2 hour trip, highly recommended.

Elaina & Mike are wonderful hosts/guides and you feel like you're travelling with your good friends. They are well-travelled and know how to make a "tour" seem like a visit with local friends.
First, nice that Elaina emailed me right away after I sent inquiry about the tour (while 'another' tour company only responded after I re-sent my inquiry two days later). Mike & Elaina emailed me the afternoon before the tour confirming the pick-up time at my hotel - nice! And they stated they have umbrellas and rain ponchos in case it rained, and suggested we could bring our own lunches if we desired. Any entrance fees were included, so no wasting time standing in line to get tickets.
Second, after they picked me up at my hotel and we were all on the road, they told us about special events at some stops (Mahone Bay's annual Scarecrow exhibit), and asked each of us where we wanted to spend the most time. Due to the weather forecast we decided to skip one stop and spend more time at the Ovens Caves. We lucked out that Peggy's Cove had few tourists to interfere with photo taking, so we spent more time at Mahone Bay too.
Third, a couple of us had dietary restrictions; Mike & Elaina offered us several suggestions on which restaurants in Lunenburg would be good for us to have lunch.
Fourth, Elaina and Mike pointed out places we passed on the way on the roads, and at every stop specifically pointed out the locations of the washrooms. Very much appreciated.
Lastly, this South Shore Adventure tour left each of us with a desire to return and see more on our next visit to this part of Nova Scotia. Looking forward to returning next year and going on another adventure with Supernova Tours.

Wow. Just wow. First class. We were picked up by Mike and from the first meeting, we knew he was genuine and really wanted to show us as much as he could. When everyone was in the van, Mike asked us if, instead of going to the maze, we wanted to see Mahone Bay because they were having their annual Scarecrow Festival. We all agreed 100% that we would prefer that side trip and then we were off. Conversation was easy and comfortable. Mike shared his knowledge especially how fast Halifax was growing. He would point out everything he knew when he saw it. We drove to Peggy's Cove, Mahone Bay, Lunenberg, and the Ovens Park then back up to Halifax. It was a full day. When in Nova Scotia, everyone needs to see the Ovens Park and I believe Mike's tour is the only one that goes there but it is a MUST. There was never a dull moment and all of the stops were the perfect amount of time. Mike is an excellent host and driver. The van was super comfortable for everyone. I highly recommend Supernova Tours. It's my honest thought that Supernova Tours will become very, very popular so book quickly.
