After Hemlock Grove, we also decided to stop in at Giant Cedars Boardwalk for another excursion along the highway. Unlike Hemlock, this is a stairway walk (not for strollers) but it is pretty gentle on the knees and suitable for toddlers who can do stairs. Should take around 20 minutes and is worth the stop.

Very beautiful hike around the lake while we were staying at the lodge. Unfortunately the lake was still frozen. But the trail was clean and very well marked.

    Highly recommended

We took the scenic drive from Banff to visit the Rocky Mountain Buffalo Ranch in May of 2022 for the daily tour and wow was it worth it! Leo is an amazing, genuine host who is very passionate about conservationism and taking care of the beautiful animals on his ranch. We came for the Buffalo, which were so beautiful and majestic up-close, but were impressed by the other aspects of the tour: Teachings on the history and behavior of buffalo, a firestarting lesson, and the chance to play with Leo's giant bunnies. Tripadvisor shows the experience is closed but Leo hosts these tours every day around 10AM in the summer. A 11/10 experience, we hope to come back again! Let's go Buffalo!

Spring skiing, so we were not expecting the endless powder the resort is famous for. Good job of grooming on day 1, day 2 the weather made for a few cookies on the runs, but in a very pleasant twist, they told you with signage where to expect that. Nice long cruisers, and at the top some glade runs still had good snow.

Beautiful and in my opinion, very underrated national park!! Some trials were still closed so we did not get to do everything I wanted (just means I have to return I guess - shucks!) we hiked Dog lake and Simpson River. Did not get a chance to do the paint pots or Juniper which I had on my list. Such a nice park to hike and drive through and then to be abel to stop at the hot springs after a day of hiking is really just the icing on the perfection cake

Hopped aboard Tram 23 at the Prestige Lakeside Resort and enjoyed a scenic ride, ending at the Rose Garden Cafe. Had a nice walk on the beach, dipping our toes in the lovely water. Plenty to do in the park. Perfect place to spend the day.

My husband and I stopped here for a walk with our 2 year old. Since we had a young child, we picked stops along the way in BC that were easy to walk and stroller friendly. I would say that the pathway to Takakkaw Falls meets those requirements and we were rewarded with a beautiful view.

Word of advice: pay close attention to the curvy switchback road getting there and ensure you have enough clearance to get up/down or to yield to oncoming traffic.

Used our reciprocal passes from SilverStar for our 2 free days at whitewater! The ticket process was super easy and got our tickets no problem! The staff around the resort were great and super friendly! The mountain itself is amazing! Consistent fall lines, lots of expert terrain, beauty hikes over to untouched areas! The addition of the glory chair several years ago was probably a point of contention for the locals but it sure spreads the people out over the hill and adds so much more accessible terrain! Also love the double chair for the nostalgia of yesteryear! North facing slopes kept their snow soft and deep well after the last storm! The pub and lodge were great for lunch as well!

We were told before we went that Nelson was a town that loved the 1970's so much...it stayed there !
And that is exactly what it turned out to be.We loved it here, it's a place where I could easily spend the rest of my life

We wish that we had discovered this spot much earlier during our visit to Invermere, as we would have used it to have a picnic and enjoy the lake views that it offers. This is a great place for swimming, suntanning, picnicing, or just plain hanging out.

Great museum with a real railroad focus. History is nicely laid out, and there is even a model railway in the basement!! Great for an afternoon.

We went end of May 2022, most trails were closed still so we didn't get to do all of what we wanted... but what we did see was beautiful. We managd the Soren Sorensen hike, Inspiration Woods and Nels Nelson and all were great (especially the Inspiration Woods)
