What travellers are saying
- Isabelle DoyleSainte-Adele, Canada133 contributionsWe had issues booking a site for many years and now my husband and I understand why. This park offers everything a nature lover seeks: hiking, kayaking, swimming and very spacious sites! All facilities are clean but be careful of the poison ivy since it is found on many trails and around camping sites.
The beaches are spectacular and we found that most areas are pet friendly. We had no issues with noise and slept soundly. Upon our arrival, we were very happy to see a park restaurant where they served the best hotdogs. I kid you not! My husband had the chicken tenders and he liked them as well. I think everything from their menu would be winners.Written July 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It gets quite busy on nice days so go early -(10:00 am or before)Written September 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JLW7 contributionsGreat visit at Lighthall Vineyards. It was busy when we arrived with several groups enjoying tastings. The sommelier did an excellent job of managing the rush, speaking loudly enough that everyone could hear her descriptions of both the wine and cheese. The cheese was a nice touch and made for some interesting pairings. I loved Lighthall's 2020 Chardonnay, and my wife Legal Smile's sparkling Groove. We left with wine, cheese and local-made mustard. A perfect visit. Highly recommend.Written January 1, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Roch65Ottawa, Canada141 contributionsThis was my first time at Point Petre and it did not disappoint. The pebble beach is located on lake Ontario and the sight and sound of the waves crashing into the pebble beach and the rocks was a beautiful sight to see. We did not see any signs for Point Petre. We drove to the end of Army Road where there was a patch of grass where we parked. We could hear the sounds of the waves from here. We walked the short distance along a short dirt road until we got to the water.Written August 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 148carolinemcnCobourg, Canada109 contributionsPicton is the place to be. Great vibes, quaint streets with interesting and artsy businesses. The Regent has 400 seats which were filled to capacity for the live show we attended. Refreshments available including alcohol and very relaxed about taking food and drinks into the theatre. Great sound and visibility from every seat. A really pleasant community-minded spot which hosts all kinds of great events.Written February 16, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The dachshund ornaments in the tasting room were quite kitschy. The wine was good. Sure glad we had a GPS on our car because they are definitely off the beaten path.Written September 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
