- lloyd1738Pickering, Canada37 contributionsA brewery in wine country gives a twist and a change from the numerous wineries. Lots of beer selections are offered by knowledgeable friendly staff members with a very good lunch menu. Get a flight of 4 small beers to enjoy comparing.Written June 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Adam KKitchener, Canada66 contributionsThis is a must visit for us every year. We walk up from the cottage and enjoy a few flights in the afternoon. A large variety of seating areas inside and out. The grounds are well kept and enjoyed on sunny days.

- Mark Edlund16 contributionsWe were there in the off season so we had to call the number on the tasting room door for service. The owner came right away. The dachshund ornaments in the tasting room were quite kitschy. The wine was good. Sure glad we had a GPS on our car because they are definitely off the beaten path.Written September 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 2toTravel73 contributionsWe were staying at Merrill House and our concierge Sean recommended Slake as a place to stop if we had the time. It worked our perfectly for us after our day at Sandbanks Provincial Park. We had a great time at the beach and were looking for a quick drink and decided to take Sean up and visit Slake.
The brewery is a short distance from Picton and well worth a visit. It is on a bluff and offers a great view of the surroundings and out into Lake Ontario. We all had a delicious beer and also partook in the "Gringo" and "Tinga" tacos - all amazing. We loved our visit and will be back.Written August 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MaraFromTorontoToronto, Canada3,548 contributionsThis winery has a relatively small tasting room, and only pours a few of their many wines at a time, so we had a bit of a limited experience. Having said that, some of their wines have won significant awards, and are excellent. We would have loved a more extensive tasting experience for sure to have enjoyed more!Written June 9, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jen598Peterborough, Canada119 contributionsWe loved our Sunday morning visit to this market while in PEC. Coffee, maple syrup, lots of local organic produce, fresh breads and crafts. We also loved the food booths, wine sampling, ciders and cocktails. There were perennials, vinegars, pottery and local juices. Just a great variety of delicious things!Written July 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Murray S2 contributionsVisited PEC, had lunch and a tour and ended up a Hagerman Farms. Their produce was fresh and tasty and lasted for a long time. We were served by a young lady who was delightful. I had known her great grandparents and she told me she was named after both of them. A wonderful personal way to end our visit.Written August 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jeff BLambton Shores, Canada453 contributionsWe stopped here to try some ciders. They have a very nice selection of quality ciders. We had a flight with all being delicious. We struggled to pick our favourites but did succeed and picked up a number of bottles to take home. Definitely worth stopping here.Written August 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Susan V2 contributionsRecently took the cookery class. The instructor was knowledgeable and the food we produced was good. However the kitchen needs to be completely reorganized as it seemed overwhelmed. The chef needs an assistant. Individual workstations need to be ready for students and the pots , pans and knives should be readily accessible, nothing was really prepared . Students were put into groups and worked on one segment of the meal. . It should also be noted that the students did not eat till 8pm, which is fine, but a snack , glasses of water, etc should be available or the students made aware that they need to supply them.Recipes were given but not necessarily followed. We had fun, but didn’t learn anything new.Written September 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Joanne K1 contributionMy friend and I loved Chris's winery tour! He took the time at the beginning of the tour to talk to us about our desires for the day and planned the tour according to that (as well as his knowledge of all the wineries, cideries, breweries etc. in the county). He gave us some local history as well as some of his (entertaining) personal history along the way. He knows all the locals which made all our visits along the tour more personal. Would definitely recommend!Written May 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
