I never expected to see my two young grandkids riding on top of an enormous water buffalo - and without fear. But I did (and did so myself) at this amazing farm. The animals are gentle, and safe. Our visit occurred after it had been raining so getting to and from them was part of the experience (we got stuck in the great gobs of mud on the "road" returning from where the animals were grazing). The two owners were young, enthusiastic and very personable. The kids are still talking about it; so are the adults.

If you are looking for peaceful and tranquil place to have a walk, look no further. This cemetery has 2.5km of walking paths, and is short walk from the hustle and bustle of downtown Picton - which can be quite busy in the morning.

We enjoyed the lovely ponds, the rolling hills and the well maintained walking trails. When we return to Picton this will surely be on our list for our morning walk!

This statue has been removed by the city. Not certain if it is storage, destroyed or relocated to somewhere else.

We enjoyed our stay in this magnificent lavender farm. The view of the lavender field was so relaxing, and the smell was breathtaking. There were so many excellent organic lavender based product.

On a rainy somber day in October, we happened across the war memorial. Somehow the weather seemed appropriate! And so did the fountain. Tears for the brave men and women whose names are engraved upon this war memorial!

Big thank you and thumbs up to Jack, Flo and all the people at Diamond J Ranch. Went for a trail ride with my neice today. The horses were great and our guide Flo was so much fun.
