After getting canceled on by a different agency they took us on with open arms and we felt welcome from the 1st minute!
The tour itself was with Jarik, he really brightened all of our days and brought fun and energy!
He really knows his stuff and gave us a memorable tour meeting many of the animals we came to see, with the necessary respect.
It was just a great experience, so thanks a lot @jarik and enjoy Europe!

    Big recommendation.

The boat ride alone was amazing but add in the numerous humpback whales we saw, Wow. Captain Alex and Lexie did a great job of navigating and teaching about the area and Lexie was very knowledgeable about the humpback whales. Highly recommend this gang!

We went on the Toba Inlet grizzly bear tour this fall and had a great time with a good group. The boat ride was through some spectacular scenery - lots of waterfalls after the rain! The day was well organized and the crew were great. We were lucky enough to see a very hefty grizzly eating salmon and a humpback whale surfacing. I highly recommend the tour.

We absolutely enjoyed our trip. Marty was great to take time, answer questions, navigate the boat so that everyone would have plenty of time to see everything. His interactions with our 8 year old were also just super fun to have him engaged in all that goes on around the boat. We saw bears, whales, eagles, seals and plenty of waterfalls. A local arranges their lunch packs and they were absolutely great!

We went as a family of 5 from the UK on the 6 hour covered boat trip with the amazing Tyler W as our guide. We had the most fantastic day out on the water, the weather was beautiful and the scenery was out of this world. We saw humpbacks, sea lions, a bear really close up, eagles, sea birds and best of all, a pod of Dall’s porpoises that were in a really playful mood and were jumping and swimming around at the bow of the boat for ages - it was the highlight of our trip, they were like mini orcas! Lunch was delicious and Tyler W could not have been a better guide, answering all our endless questions and making us drinks and giving us so much information and knowledge about the wildlife and local area. It has been the best day of our holiday so far. Thank you Tyler W and Campbell River Whale Watching and Adventure Tours, I would give more than 5 stars if I could!

The tour company was very safety orientated in regards to weather. Our trip was delayed a few hours due to poor weather. Great communication happened to adjust the time for a safer adventure. We saw 2 Orcas. Lots of wild life. California Seals, stellar seals , Eagles. We were offered tea, coffee, cookies and hot chocolate. The captain, Reuben was a delight and patient with all the amateur photographers on the tour.

My wife and I booked the Full Day Whale Watching tour before we arrived on Vancouver Island for our honeymoon. We were slightly apprehensive about being on a Zodiac boat for 7/8 hours but went ahead anyway and we did not regret it.

The day started meeting our naturalist Reuben at the harbour and getting into our survival suits. After the safety instructions and a brief itinerary we set out on our tour. Within 20 minutes we encountered two humpback whales and spent some time with them before we left them in peace and continued on our way.

A short while later we came across a pod of orca’s and again we stayed a respectful distance but having already done whale watching tours on covered boats, the zodiac definitely feels more intimate. During all encounters Reuben shared his deep knowledge of the wildlife and you could feel his passion and respect for each animal we encountered.

We moved on and came across some sea lions who we spent some time with and then we had a comfort break at Browns Bay. Another consideration when booking was toilet breaks and being on a Zodiac all day. This wasn’t an issue and Reuben offered frequent comfort breaks throughout the day.

We then headed to the North of Quadra Island and took in more of the wonderful landscapes and scenery and stopped for lunch on land which was fresh and more than enough to refuel, Reuben made a fire and we spent some time chatting,
    before we headed back out.

We continued our trip and came across more seals and sea lions and came to the some rapids which Reuben navigated with ease. We spent some more time taking in the scenery and landscapes and even came across some First Nations artwork.

We then headed south and spent some more time near an Island with a large population of Cormorants and seals and sea lions.

As our trip was coming to and end and we were heading back to Campbell River, we made a slight detour and came across a group of around 6/8 humpbacks. This group seemed more playful and we enjoyed spending time with them with excellent opportunities for pictures and seeing more personality of these wonderful animals. The star of the show a baby humpback who even treated the group to a breach. We may have missed this had Reuben just headed for home because our time was coming to an end.

Overall, the full day whale watching tour was an excellent experience, comfortable, intimate and worth every penny. We felt safe and in good hands with Reuben and Wild Waterways and I could not recommend them highly enough. If we’re ever back on Vancouver Island these will be our go to provider for wildlife encounters.

We have had an amazing full day tour with our guide Jarek. He was very enthusiastic about the many Orca's and other wildlife we saw, with lots of funfacts and info.
