What travellers are saying
- stcjayExeter, UK57 contributionsReally enjoyed our tour mainly due to James our tour guide, he was knowledgeable and really funny the sort of guy who would be great on a night out!
It's well worth a visit as interesting and educational xWritten March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Whilst very small, it has a lovely collection of thatched buildings, including a tea house, shops and an old blacksmith's which is now converted to a gift shop.
Just up from the village centre there is a craft village and church and we chose to take a walk on the circular country walk, which gave us a lovely hour or two in the countryside.
Finishing off with a cream tea in the tea house, this is a perfect place for a few hours in the English countryside.Written September 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lana0707Surrey, UK9 contributionsA fabulous place to visit and explore Agatha Christie 's journey of Life. - Davejb2014Shrewsbury, UK210 contributionsVery ornate and colourful fountain, the ideal spot for a picnic, lunchtime sunbathing, or just to wander around and enjoy the simple but effective and well kept gardens.
Next to the fountain is the cenotaph, complete with its own garden.
Just to add some amusement to the gardens is a ferris wheel, quite a tight fit inside each pod, after you can relax in the outdoor café for ice creams or a simple pot of tea.Written July 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Enjoyed a great breakfast from the cafe. There is a steep hill at the end of path to get there but worth it.Written July 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MrsJacksonBrodieDevon, UK65 contributionsI often visit here with my 3yo and he loves it. It’s rare to find a soft play that seems dedicated to younger children - even at weekends and school holidays most of the kids in here are under 5, which makes it a lot more enjoyable for younger kids and a lot less stressful for parents.
It’s always clean and tidy and prices are reasonable. Even the food is decent which is pretty unheard of from other soft play places.Written April 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. At night the steps light up and there are pretty path lights as well.Written February 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BFPOMIkeMaidenhead, UK85 contributionsGreat view of Torbay from the headland, from Berry Head around to Elbury and Paignton around to London Bridge outcrop in Torquay. There's also a memorial to the Home Guard (Dad's Army) and the artillery gun crew who lost their lives during an air raid in WW2Written September 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LD12Sheffield, UK364 contributionsGorgeous, beautiful and picturesque beach but a very very steep walk down. We parked in the carpark nearby, however when we got to the gates a sign said 'beach closed'. We carried on walking down as there were other cars in the carpark. However, it was a very steep walk down and the road/path was very uneven and had eroded away. Once we were down there the beach was beautiful. Clear water, lots of rocks and pebbly beach. No facilities - lots of rubbish dumped near the closed cafe on the way back up - very unsightly! But the beach was very peaceful and tranquil. The walk back up was very steep and tiring.Written August 23, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
