What travellers are saying
- janice c2 contributionsAbsolutely fabulous day out, staff were very friendly and it was such good value for money. I would definitely do it again. - Richard M1 contributionThough I came with a small amount of previous experience, Lee took me back the basics and walked me through both the safety aspects of handling shot guns, as well as proper technique for my stance and aiming.
Though serious when necessary, Lee was always abundant with humour making the session incredibly fun. You definitely get your moneys worth here and I would highly recommend anyone who wants to have a try at clays to come here first.Written August 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I found it extremely enjoyable and learnt so much about wine. Jonny was a master in the delivery of content and having wines to taste in each session certainly brought it to life ! I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who wants to take a step forward with their knowledge of wines.Written June 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 12040502Xaghra3 contributionsIt would be difficult to imagine a more appropriate setting for an arcade of antique dealers than the historic Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells but, so often, antique galleries consist simply of a series of lock-up cages for individual traders created in a haphazard way. The Pantiles is by contrast a wonderful presentation of quality antiques through the ages spaciously displayed in its superb Georgian setting. This is a visually appealing venue for the serious collector where the proprietors are always ready to share their expertise and to advise their clients. Their programme of informative social events adds a social dimension with the opportunity of meeting fellow collectors.
To understand the range they cover, visit their website first (scottishantiques.com) and browse the categories in the menu, which gives informative details of current and past items for sale. Checking on the cost of items in your field will quickly enable you to establish the reasonableness of the pricing.
As any collector knows establishing a rapport with a specialist dealer is the best way of developing their own knowledge and expertise and the most certain way of being assured of value for money. I have been collecting antique glass for over fifty years and for some twenty years have bought glass from Scottish Antiques, who are the moving spirits behind the Pantiles Arcade. Initially this was via their website but the opening of The Pantiles Arcade has given the added benefit on my visits to Kent not only of visual inspection of their extensive stock of antique and art glass but also the opportunity of enjoying other aspects of the range of quality items on display with the benefit of their ever informative input.Written January 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He knows these rocks like the back of his hand and had us making amazing progress in just a few hours. Highly recommended.Written October 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alison ORoyal Tunbridge Wells, UK3 contributionsReally enjoyed my first Ghost Walk last night. The guide Audrey was both exuberant and eloquent, giving us her expert knowledge and relevant stories. Learnt and saw a lot that I hadn’t noticed after living here for many years! Thoroughly recommend the tour and I’m sure her ghost hunts are even more thrilling.Written November 1, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LindaW3107Hartlepool, UK62 contributionsI booked 2 trips using the App going from Staplehurst Station to Hawkhurst Community Hospital & return.
The price was ÂŁ27 each way.
On the morning of the trip when on the train, I received a call to say they would have to charge me ÂŁ70 each way because of coming from Tunbridge Wells.
I cancelled the booking.
As the trip was to visit my brother in a rehab unit, this meant me having to turn round & go back to London.Written August 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
